Spring may not be in the air, but it is on my nails =) This is Milani Cloud 9 ... maybe. I don't really think so. Why you may ask? Well, because I have both of these in my collection:
To me, Cloud 9 is more of a name for a blue than a purple. If anyone has an idea of what label should have been on this bottle, let me know LOL.
Today's mani is done with what is listed on my spreadsheet as Milani Cloud 9 (Lavender). I like the blue also, but I thought the purple would go better with the Psyche Pink Konad Princess polish that I wanted to stamp with. I decided on an image from plate m37 ... I'd call this a stamp & a half, because it's more than once but not the entire image the second time. I liked my thumb best , although these angles don't do it full justice:

Oooooo, I *really* love this color combo! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is too beautiful! I have to try similar combo myself... Color Club's Front Row Diva would be quite close to that shade I think.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Really adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely manicure. Very etheral. I thought the polish would be sheer. I'm suprised. Love the Konad also.
ReplyDeleteVery cute mani! They very well could be the same color, batches can be off sometimes (CG Emerald Sparkle is a perfect example of this!)
ReplyDeleteNice mani, the Milani color is great and the Konad is cute, I love those colors together ^^
ReplyDeleteThe colors work very well together, lovely mani :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice colors! Funny they have the same name too :D.
ReplyDeleteWish we had Milani over here, I've seen very pretty polished by them.
Your mani makes me want spring!
Pretty color! Could also be like OPI Bubble Bath. I have white and pink versions, both of which are legitimately considered to be the "real" Bubble Bath. Who knows?
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and fragile looking! How weird, same label, different shades...I wonder how often such "mistakes" happen? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow Colette, I adore this! This is something I would definitely wear, so pretty. Michelle
ReplyDeleteyou have the prettiest nails. i like cute delicate designs like this one
ReplyDeleteAINOS2 - Thank you =)
ReplyDeleteDOO - I'll have to check out that color once I'm off my no-buy, I could use a few more like this, most of my purples are darker shades.
SOLVEIG - Thanks =)
LUCY - I also thought it would be sheer, I was prepared to do a lot more coats than I ended up having to do =)
GILDEDANGEL - The thing that keeps me from thinking they're from separate batches, is that I bought them at the same time.
AYUU - Thank you =)
CHOCADDICT - Thanks =)
MICHELE - I think it worked it's spring magic on my weather, we had warmer temps after I wore this =)
AAREN - I remember reading about that one over on the Polish Addict, talk about causing confusion LOL
DANICA - That would be a good name =)
CHARIS - I have a couple of others in my collection, but I suppose given how much polish is out there we should be glad it doesn't happen more LOL
MICHELLE - Thank you =)
ANGIE - Thanks =)
The one that's more purple is Cloud 9. I have it on my fingers now. :)
ReplyDeleteKELLIE - thank you, that's the total opposite of what I would have expected =)
ReplyDeleteI have the same dilemma with Milani Cloud 9. I bought the blue-r one at a CVS when it first came out. I fell positively in LOVE with the color. After scouring every CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid...ect, I resorted to ordering a back up bottle off Amazon. When it came in the mail I gasped at the lavender bottle.
ReplyDeletealso I would say that the blue-r one is the TRUE CLOUD 9. It was the first batch color I came across in stores. And the name is definitely fitting to a blue I think...
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at one right now and it is blue, not purple.
ReplyDeletethe original is a grayish purply blue..lol..so im not sure..its my fave polish ever though
ReplyDeleteok, just looked the lavendery one is the original color its supposed to be
