Guest NOTD: Rudolph Red + Snowflakes

My aunt requested that I bring my Konading supplies to Christmas & do her nails. Now, I don't normally do other people's nails, but I'll make an exception for family, especially since we had the whole day to fit it in. I packed all of my supplies in a Caboodle (remember Caboodles? Mine still gets love LOL it's perfect for toting a bunch of nail crap around) & after she went through my plates, she decided on a snowflake from image plate m59. Her base color is OPI Rudolph Red, which she said was probably from a Christmas collection several years ago, and the Konad is done with China Glaze Millennium:

She was only going to do like one finger each hand, but you see I talked her into more =) We had quite a bit of fun with this & she said she might have to look into getting her own kit. Another Konad convert LOL

Thanks for reading =)

Merry Christmas! (3 NOTDs)

Well, I'm off to brave the blizzard & make the trip to grandma's house shortly, and I'll take some pics of the ridiculous amounts of snow we got when I go out, but I thought I'd throw up some NOTDs & wish everyone a Merry Christmas before I leave =)

Here is my Christmas NOTD, using China Glaze Emerald Sparkle & Ruby Pumps. As usual, pics don't do justice to either one of these colors:

Here is Mom's Christmas NOTD, one of my Dollar Tree haul polishes, Maybelline Blackened Teal:

And, here's a blast from the past, my NOTD from LAST Christmas! I didn't take too many pics of my nails before I started the blog, but these were an exception. I believe this color is Cover Girl Boundless Color Goldstar, but I'm not 100% positive. I'm not sure what Konad plate this is, I'll try to come back later & edit in the info once I have time to dig it out (EDIT: image plate m59):

Stay safe & be happy everyone =) Thanks for reading.

Misa NOTD

Misa A Sin Worth Committing Konaded with China Glaze Devotion & plate m15:

It's OK ... don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Misa, I love the color, but I am not totally pleased with my Konading skillz at the moment. It was a little past my bedtime, and I ended up having placement issues & take my word that the right hand is significantly worse. So this may not stay on that long, but that just means a great excuse to wear one of the other Misas.

You'll also notice my pinky is on the gimped side now ... that's because when I took off my Valentine's mani, I found this underneath:

I couldn't bear to cut it all the way down, but I did take off quite a bit. You know, that little tip of your finger that's usually covered by your nail? It drives me crazy when I can't avoid having them that short & it's all naked & sensitive & unprotected. But it's still pretty short & SO lame. I mean, I admit to being a total klutz, but somehow I'm still always surprised when one of my nails breaks. It's like, it doesn't break when I do something really bad, but then it cracks spontaneously, out of the blue, right at the bottom (if not lower). I wish I'd started biotin 6 months ago instead of only 1 month ... maybe by summer this won't keep happening to me.

The good news is that I know it won't take that long for them to grow out, if I could just keep them all from breaking (ha ha) & get an honest to goodness decent, even, long manicure. I had a few breaks at the end of last year, and here's an older pics of when my nails were on the stubby side just a few weeks ago at the beginning on January. Bear with me, as I think this was pre-learning-my-camera-had-macro-mode:

I like this pic because it's just out of focus enough to catch the holo. I don't remember what the base is, but it's got China Glaze Fairy Dust making it sparkle & the Konad plate is m59. I came across this the other day & couldn't believe my nails had grown so much in only 5 weeks (pic was taken on January 10th). I must be doing something right lately because they didn't used to grow that quickly. Thanks for reading.

Valentines NOTD

Wow, 2 days without posting - I feel strangely guilty lol. Been busy, been kidnapped by my friend to go out when I was just about to do my nails, so I didn't get around to this until this morning instead of last night.

China Glaze Romantique Joy Konaded with CG Admire & plate m59 - I'm really pleased with how it turned out. On a side note, taking off Jaded Blues beforehand was a HUGE pain in the ass. It was worse that a glitter for some reason.

Single Chick Saturday is still in effect even though it's Valentines Day - I'm headed out shortly to go make the most of being unattached, but tomorrow I will post up what I was going to yesterday before my plans were changed for me: my Misa haul.

Yes, I know it's mid-Feb now & the promotion was in January, but I placed my order literally the last day of the month & then didn't actually put through my payment until like the 5th. They shipped out on the 6th & showed up on my doorstep on the 13th (so much for Friday the 13th being bad, btw, mine was awesome).

I'm SOOOO happy with them & I haven't even worn them yet, but they're just so gorgeous. I can't wait to show them off! Until then, thanks for reading.
