Good Things Coming (Promise!)

I know, I'm always saying stuff like that LOL & then I procrastinate as usual.  But I stumbled upon 11 of the 12 Tronica polishes today at Sallys =)  And while I won't call myself overly impressed, they are very pretty.  I picked up a few other colors as well, so I need to do a haul post, but I'd also like to do up some nail wheels comparing Tronica to OMG & perhaps also to the Kaleidoscope collection, as I have all 12 of both those old beauties.  I really hope I can track down the 12th Tronica color tomorrow.

And what's on my nails you ask?  Well ... since you asked, just a hint:

More pics tomorrow - vid is up now though if you want to check it out early =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Zoya Tosca + m62

Well, I was not in love with this color, and that's out of the ordinary with Zoya.  I wanted something bright, and it was, but I just couldn't get into it.  The golden glow in the bottle doesn't show much on the nails.  And since I still had some VNL after 2 coats, I thought I'd add a french tip pattern - only to see my nails are now long enough you can still see the nail line under the design LOL.  It's not too noticeable in pics, much more annoying in person.  This is Zoya Tosca, stamping done with Black Special Polish & Konad image plate m62:

NOTD: Barielle Hidden Hideaway

I don't know how I managd to wear this for like 3 days & not get a decent sun pic.  There's even been plenty of sun, I'd look outside while I was at work & think how nice & sunny it was - but by  the time I get outside, there are clouds =(  This one is gorgeous in any light though - Barielle Hidden Hideaway:

NOTD: Revlon Copper Penny

I did this mani right before I headed out the door last Friday, and I neglected to take indoor pics ... also from the Heavenly Metals collection, this is just as shiny as Silver Dollar - here is Revlon Copper Penny:

I am so thoroughly sick of winter.  I just want to be warm again LOL.  Seems like all I feel like doing is curling up with a blanket ...  it's too much effort to do even things I normally enjoy.  We had a couple days of teasing 50 degree weather, then we got dumped with another foot + of snow.  More coming this weekend ... enough already!

Guest NOTD: Blue. Brown & White Water Marble + Tutorial

Didn't quite get this up last night, so I'm throwing it up quick this morning before I go to work!

So, I decided to give my mom a water marble again this year for her birthday.  Started out with a base of Sally Hansen White On, marbling done with White On, Nubar Swiss Chocolate & BB Couture Adios Mo Fo:

And since I get so many questions about whether you can marble on short nails, I did a tutorial for it also:

2011 St. Paul Winter Carnival

This was actually a couple of weeks ago, but we're getting dumped on with snow again after a week that was actually what passes for nice in Minnesota in February LOL.  Temps were up near 50 - now we're paying for it with over a foot of snow!

The ice-carving competition is held in Rice Park, a little tiny park in the middle of downtown St. Paul.  They were actually still working when we went, so in addition to seeing some finished carvings, we also got to see a lot of the guys still in action:

NOTD: Revlon Silver Dollar

Nothing super special about Revlon Silver Dollar, but it's just a nice classic, bright, shiny silver.  I always love silver on my nails & I wore this almost all last week.  From the Heavenly Metals collection:

NOTD: Red & Gold Swirl Wate Marble + Tutorial

I meant to post this on Monday.  I've been totally tired & lazy & non-creative all week ... after I took this marble off I have in fact had the same plain silver on my nails for 3 days.  I'm not sick, I'm just ... easily distracted.  I read an entire book on Tuesday LOL, couldn't put it down, Wednesday I just vegetated in front of the TV & somehow still was not in bed early, even though I didn't do a post or redo my nails ...

Well.  Anyway ... some nails for all you wonderful patient people =)  This was my Valentine's mani, although it wasn't overly filled with hearts or pink like some of my other manis.  I started off with Milani Good Morning Sunshine as my base color, then marbled with GMS & Revlon Ruby Ribbon - which marbled not too bad for a matte polish:

Here are my favorite nails - left pinky, right ring, middle & index:

And here is the tutorial:

I'll try to get the silver posted tomorrow - plain but gorgeous =)  Tomorrow evening or maybe on Saturday I will be marbling my mom's nails for her birthday, and I'm considering doing another drag marble for myself, but I'm being reeeaaally indecisive on colors, so I don't know.  We'll see.

NOTD: Zoya Edyta + m64

One of the polishes I picked up with the 3-free Zoya promo was Edyta, which I wore plain for a day:

Before I added some stamping with Konad image plate m64 & China Glaze Passion:

I enjoyed this - especially after all the pale pink!  Thanks for reading.

Awesome Shoe Clearance

I stop at DSW all the time, because their clearance is always changing - it happens to be awesome  right now.  Two of these I got at 50% off I think, & 2 at 80% off.

These have almost like a snakeskin texture - but they're really soft, they're actually made of cloth, not leather or fake leather:

These are super cute & zip up the back:

Something a bit more sensible LOL, Ryka sneakers:

And one of these days the snow will melt & I'll be able to wear these bad boys:

I'm very proud because although I bought 4 pair, I also got rid of 4 old pair that really needed to go.  But I get so attached to my shoes LOL!  I want to keep old favorites even when they are beat up & I don't wear them anymore.  But I don't want to be a hoarder, so I sucked it up & tossed them!

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Pink & White Hearts Water Marble + Tutorial

I wanted pink & white hearts ... or so I thought.  Once I got this on my nails I was kind of bored with it.  Too pale, too girly ... too PINK.  Pink has to be just right to be on my good side you know =)  Still, it wasn't awful, just not my particular cup of tea.  Base color of OPI Fit For A Queensland, marbling done with FFaQ & OPI Pink of Hearts 2010:

& yes, that's a rather large tear on my thumb in the last couple pics.  It's patched now, but it's irritating because I just finished growing out 2 breaks, and now I add another.

Here's the tutorial:

I may get around to a few more Valentine's-themed manis, maybe even another full tutorial, but I'm not sure.  I don't even LIKE Valentine's Day - but I just can't resist the excuse to put cute hearts on my nails =)  Thanks for reading.
