August-September Hauls

Finally, finally - I've actually worn so many of the colors from this haul already LOL.  I split it into 2 vids, one for the actual haul & one for the crackle swatches:

In the video they're mostly by where I purchased them but to simplify things for the pictures & the blog post I sorted them by brand.

First the OPIs:

So, after this extravaganza, I put myself on a no-buy - I even managed to stick to it for like 3 weeks!  ... but that was like a week ago LOL & so I'm still not caught up, I have several Icing colors waiting for my next haul post =)

NOTD: OPI Swimsuit ... Nailed It! + Kleancolor Starry Purple

I was - as I often am - indecisive about what was going on my nails on Monday evening.  When I saw the Miss Universe pageant was actually on, I decided to reach for one of the colors from OPI's Miss Universe collection, and after a brief debate Swimsuit ... Nailed It! won.  This is already officially one of my favorite blues, and it has almost a chrome finish it's so metallic & shiny:

 

For the 2nd day I wanted to bling it up - I looked at the chunky silver Crown Me Already! from the same collection, the chunky silver but also holographic glitter Servin' Up Sparkle from one of my Serena Williams Glam Slam packs, but I finally went with this purple glitter from Kleancolor, with 3 different sizes of glitter in a clear base it's called Starry Purple - this is 2 coats on top of SNI, and most of the time it did look purple but in some lights & especially on camera it came out a bit on the pink side:

 

I've got a basic manicure tutorial that I filmed when I painted my nails with SNI - I'm going to attempt to get it edited tonight, but as often as my reach exceeds my grasp, not sure if that will actually happen LOL.  But it's coming!  I know I forgot a lot when I was recording too, so I'm going to fill in any blanks in the blog post.

More 2012 Crackles & Kleancolor Crackles

I have quite a haul, and a lot of them are crackles =)  I went to a new to me beauty supply store & found a whole bunch on nice & cheap polish, so I indulged.  A few of the 2012s are from Walgreens, colors that Family Beauty Supply (Broadway & Fremont for my local readers) didn't have, but they were only $2 at the beauty supply compared to $5 at Walgreens, so I got what I could for cheap.

Here are all my new 2012 colors:

 

 

Top:  You & I, Acid Rain,Mercy Me, Helios, Afterlife, Evolution.  Bottom:  Extraterrestrial, Tomorrow, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sea of Galilee, Typhoon, Prayer.

 

Here are the Kleancolor Crack Polishes:

 

 

Blue Crackle & Green Crackle.

Left to right:  Green Apple, Turquoise, Charcoal Navy, After Dark, Metallic Noir.

Top:  Black Eutopia, Golden Red, Twinkling Mauve, Tropical Green.  Bottom:  Blue Pearl, Baby Blue, All Purpled Out.

 

And here are some closer-up pics on the nail wheel swatches - the Kleancolor is a very unique crackle (similar to Kelier if you're a fan of that now HTF brand) if you're patient enough to let it dry, so I also swatched them over white so the pattern was really visible:

 

And then the 2012s - some of the neons did kind of a weird thing with top coat added ... they look almost ... I don't know, diseased LOL, the orange over black in particular:
