I'd like to say first, I did like this mani ... but. BUT. I wish more pink had shown up, and I was in a hurry so I had a lot of bubbles on top of smearing several while they were wet. These colors from the Island Escape collection worked really well for me though, I'm going to use them in another marble after the 4th:
My favorite nails - left middle & ring, right middle & pinky:
All the colors used:
Left to right: China Glaze 108 Degrees, Papaya Punch, Electric Pineapple, Cha Cha Cha, Blue Iguana, Senorita Bonita.
And of course the tutorial - which I actually shot after the fact, because I didn't have time to record one when I did the manicure:
Thanks for reading =)

Groovy, man! *dating myself! lol*
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, it is really pretty. Those colours do work very well together.
These are amazing... it reminds me of these awesome tie-dye sheets I had when I was a teenager. Love it!
ReplyDeletePretty! The island Escape collection looks great all marbled together!
ReplyDeletereading the title i knew this would be a great mani! it reminds me of the swirl lollipops. very nice.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy this colour combination :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow colours. ♥ it

ReplyDeletedouble rainbows.. eheheheh awesome.

ReplyDeleteAaaah I love rainbows! This is super awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteI am so loving the spiral rainbow! I recently did a rainbow water marble, but mine doesn't look as cool as yours! I might have to try this spiral rainbow with the exact same colors you used! =)
ReplyDeleteSo psychadelic, I love it!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I love how many different colors and swirls are there!
ReplyDeleteSooo pretty it really makes me happy <3
ReplyDeleteloving the colours and the double spiral! =D
ReplyDeleteWow--very groovy! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this manicure! I have such a hard time building the bulls-eye every time I try water marble. No matter how fast I go, the polish always seems to dry before I have a chance to dip. Oh well... Maybe I'll try again soon. Thank you so much for the tutorial! :)
ReplyDeleteomg this is the best i've ever seen
ReplyDeletewow, amazing :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful & so groovy! Reminds me of a psychedelic vision from a movie during the '60's!
ReplyDeleteFREAKING AWESOME!!! By the way, I am your new follower!
ReplyDeleteHi Colette, I think your water marbles are simply amazing. It is because of you that I am learning to water marble myself. I've been a follower of your blog for quite some time now, and I would be honoured if you would follow my brand new blog. The link to it is:

I really hope to see you there one day soon!

I just discovered your blog today, via YouTube, and I am absolutely inspired. Years ago, I did my nails all the time, but I stopped when my job damaged them too much every day. I've moved on from that job, but I hadn't picked up my nail polish habit again. I will now!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found your video about old nail polishes being usable. I was one of those who believed the expires-in-a-year myth, but I hadn't thrown out my collection due to laziness. *laughs* Good thing!
Also, I was wondering, do you catalog your polishes? If so, what kind of information about them do you keep?
Mind. Blown. This is amazing! Love the colors, the design, the polish itself.. awesome :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!! Seriously, this is possibly the single-most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life. Ever. EVER! I stumbled upon your blog through another nail blog, and saw this mani.... Firstly I am so jealous of your nails - despite my best efforts, mine practically commit suicide as soon as I get a free edge; but secondly, this design is crazy brilliant, if I had the skills and patience to do this, I would seriously never ever remove it. I love it!
ReplyDeleteRegards, Anna :)
UNREAL!!! I am working with some new Shatter polish tonight (thumbs up!) and it inspired me to check out youtube for nail art. I am always after new techniques and have never seen this. Your water marbling is FAB!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your nail designs & have been doing mine every week now for the past 2 months:) It's fun & creative. While I'm still fairly new at this I would love to see something where you show how to get different design looks for your nails. Sometimes mine get too jumbled up when trying for something with my orange stick.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing & I love the rainbow design here!!!
Love your blog! i have been experimenting with the water marble technique and have a couple of questions. Is it best to use all the same brand of polish?? It seems like the dry time varies and i am running into dry spots with my stick. Also, I keep getting bubbles on my nails. Am i dipping too fast? the tiny ones arnt a big deal but i got some bigger ones this time and they kind of ruined the look.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Collette, i have been experimenting quite a bit and lately i have been getting a lot of bubbles..I am pulling my nail out very slowly and its still happening..any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteWOW i love it cnt wait to try these all out :) x
