NOTD: Outrageously Orange Water Marble - Addicted to Color Series

When I was planning this color in the series, the working title was "Orange-gasm" - right up to the point that I actually started experimenting with the different polishes.  And then I was about ready to pull out my hair ... I definitely was not left with a warm fuzzy feeling LOL.  It was outrageously difficult finding 5 colors that worked together & out of all the new oranges that I've recently purchased, I was only able to use one of them, the rest just wouldn't cooperate.

The colors I finally ended up using were Wet  n Wild Magic Trident, China Glaze Sun Worshipper, Orly Orange Punch, China Glaze Free Love & China Glaze Street Racing:

A lineup of the bottles:

My favorite nails:  left thumb & middle, right ring & pointer:

I went with orange because it won by just a little bit in my informal poll =)  Yellow was very close though, and will be upcoming soon.  Thanks for reading.

  9. Hi! This is just gorgeous! I'm a new follower & I've tried a few times to do my own water marbles - but I just can't get the polish to spread out. I'm using room temp filtered water & all I'm making is a mess. Any advice?

  16. hey, I love the whole idea and the result of water marbeling. Never tried it though but I'm pretty inspired. But before I try it out I have one question. What do you have on your fingers when you dip them into the water. Is it plastic or what?? Is it nessesery??

  19. hi collette,
You do such beautiful work. I tried the marble effect but it pales in comparison to your work! I'm not done yet so I'll keep trying. However, I can't seem to get the Zoya Mattes to work on my nail with the regular polish technique. Any pointers please? Again, I can't get enough of your blog! Keepup the great work sweetie!

    Lots of love,
