NOTD: Green & Grey Water Marble + Tutorial

Well, I'm a little (lot) bit later posting this than I thought, because we stayed at the Fair way later than I thought we would!  Me & Mom walked I think more this time than the first round =)

These 2 cremes are both from last fall's Once Upon a Time collection - Orly Enchanted Forest & Orly Mirror Mirror.  I  haven't done a ton of marbles with Orly colors, but I think I can say that their creme polishes, at least all the ones I've used, are some of the nicest colors to marble with because they just flow really well in the water, there's no overly fast drying or drag, and what color bleeding there is adds to the look without making the colors look muddy.

I'm very satisfied with how this pattern turned out on my nails, although the right ring & pinky came out a little crooked.  You'll also notice what looks like a crack on my right ring in some of the pics - that's my patch that failed & I did a temporary glue job on.  I wouldn't have bothered if I didn't still have pics to do LOL, and I will be trimming it down when I take this off:

Sooo many favorite nails with this marble!  I love both  my thumbs, both middle fingers - really all of them, even the crooked couple that don't match 100% with the rest LOL.  Here's the tutorial:

I hope to have time to do another marble or a tutorial on something else over this holiday weekend, but I'm not so sure anymore now that I spent the whole day away at the Fair today.  So we'll see =)  Thanks for reading.

TOTD: BB Couture Adios Mo Fo

Got a few pics edited so I'm going to post up a portion =)  This is my current pedicure, which I did on I think Saturday.  BB Couture Adios Mo Fo:

I wasn't quite sure I liked it on my toes but it's grown on me =)  This also happens to be my mom's current mani, but she said she didn't see the name before she put it on & now she's mildly appalled!  LOL she said if anyone asked her what it was called she would just tell them Adios XD  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Essie Pretty Edgy

This was my NOTD on Tuesday.  I guess this color is one everyone wants to like, because it's Essie doing a green, and it's a nice green & all ... but really nothing special.  Essie Pretty Edgy is a green creme.  Period.  I thought I might spice it up just a bit by stamping with China Glaze DV8 & image plate m60, with mixed results.  Under most light the flowers weren't that visible, but they photographed OK.  A little more subtle than I intended though:

TOTD: Sally Hansen Pacific Blue + Shooting Star

I love this, it's super glittery & was a very cool blue even before I added the glitter.  Unfortunately, it's been on the cool side lately & so I haven't really been able to show it off in sandals LOL.  I started with a base of 2 coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, a bright cornflower blue creme polish:

Then I added 1 coat of SH Shooting Star, a blue glitter that's really complimentary.  Hard to capture on camera of course but it's very bling in person:

Want to see a little more blue?  Check out these adorable robin's eggs that Mom spotted in the pine tree while we were at Grandma's.  She held the branches back & I snapped a few pics.  I believe Mom is wearing Rimmel Denim Dreams:

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!  I've got a few more things to post but I also need to do my nails so we'll see.  Thanks for reading =)

NOTD: Zoya Envy

I was short on time, so this mani went without decoration.  I really like Zoya Envy, it is an extremely dark vampy green, and it did get mistaken for black on my nails today.  But I knew it was green =)

Thanks for reading.

Easter NOTD: Zigzag Funky French w/ Dots

I think this has to be the most adorable mani I've ever done.  And for once, it came out on my nail exactly as I pictured it in my head.  I think I could even rock this with some less-pastel colors & be quite pleased.

I started out alternating nails between China Glaze Light as Air & Something Sweet, both from the Up & Away collection.  Excuse my lack of cleanup in most of these pics LOL:

Then I used pinking shears on some blue painters tape, and did french tips with matching holo colors, using Milani Hi-Res & Digital.  After I took off the tape, I added dots with the creme base color & this is the final super-cute result:

I added a matte topcoat again for the 2nd day.  Although they do have kind of more an eggshell finish with the Matte Magic, I think I really prefer this mani glossy.  You can make your own call:

I had a great Easter & hope you all did as well =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Barielle Get Mauve-ing

So, after everything I went through to get this with a sticker on the bottom, I thought I better wear it LOL =) Barielle Get Mauve-ing, from the All Lacquered Up collection:

A very pretty color ... but kind of boring, I'll admit. So I went with what I consider a classic Konad design, one I've hesitated to attempt because I'm never quite satisfied with my freehand french tips, and even as nubs my nails are too long for the french tip plate which I do have. Plate m57 & Black Special Polish, tips done with China Glaze Liquid Leather:

I really enjoyed this. You can see I didn't get much streaking (only on my left in fact, which is kind of ironic), which can be a problem with the Black. In fact, I'm in the situation again that I kind of wish I hadn't taken this off because looking at pics I like it better than my new NOTD ... it's not a disaster, but I'll show you guys the issues tomorrow =) Thanks for reading.

NOTD: RBL Orbis Non Sufficit

I hesitated for a while to wear this polish, because I was worried that I would be disappointed. I mean, when I spend $18/bottle on nail polish, I want to be in luuurrrvvve, you know? How could this mere creme compete with the shimmerfest goodness of Scrangie?

Silly me.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit (translation: the world is not enough) from the Blogger collection, Konad done with China Glaze Devotion & plate m40:

I had to add just a little Konad, but I really couldn't bear & didn't need to cover up much of this yummy color. Not to mention how well this goes with my pedi! I was a little worried that my patches might show with a creme, but that turned out not to be an issue =) I am 100% happy with all of my nails (well, the looks I'm saying, totally aside from the excessive patching). How often do I say that, picky as I know myself to be? I can't remember the last time I loved a mani this much ... oh, wait a minute ... YES I DO LOL =)

Anyway, awfully glad after all that I splurged on this polish =) Thanks for reading.
