NOTD: Gemmed Funky French + Tutorial

I do wish I'd used slightly smaller rhinestones for this look, but other than that it turned out mostly as planned.  And while the tips & ring finger may look like a dark blurple, they're really Wet n Wild Black Creme topped with Savvy French Rose Opal Frost:

Here's the tutorial:

NOTD: Blue & Blue Water Marble + Tutorial

Marbling doesn't have to be intricate color combinations or detailed designs - this is about as simple as it gets, a two-toned one color combination with simple petal shapes - base color is Wet n Wild Rain Check, marbling done with RC & Wet n Wild Sapphire Blue:

Here are a few of my favorite nails - I  think the one that went crooked may actually be my favorite of all:

Here's the tutorial:

Feathers? Raindrops? Option number 3? LOL let me know what it reminds you of =)

NOTD: Friday I'm in Love Water Marble + Tutorial

This was a fun YouTube collab that I think I posted about at the time & encouraged bloggers to join in as well =)

I started out by prepping my nails with Orly Au Champagne which is a surprisingly opaque shimmery white.  Marbling is done with Zoya Ali & Wet n Wild Disturbia:

Here's a closer look at a few of my favorite nails - top row is from my left hand & bottom row from my right:

Here's the tutorial:

And if you'd like to see some more of the other entries, please check out my Friday I'm in Love Playlist HERE - there were a ton of really great contributions =)

Haul & Swatches - Icing & Claire's Magnetix, Glitter Crackles, Etc

This is around hmm, probably half the hauling I've done lately LOL.  I'll be posting up the other half, which is mainly an order from Nailogy, a little later.

Here's a closer look at the Icing polishes:

Pink, Blue & Silver Magnetix & Purple Glitter Crackle.  I really don't like that Icing doesn't name any of their polishes that have effects.

From Claire's:

Gold Magnetix, Fuchsia & Turquoise Glitter Crackle, & Night Sky - which did in fact turn out to be a dupe for Icing Epic Winning, as you can see in the swatch vid below.

From Hot Topic:

Warpaint Beauty matte top coat Mattify & glow in the dark Glow Turq.

The China Glaze Ulta Exclusive Holiday colors I was so thrilled to find:

Fireside Glow, Ultamate Holiday & Mistletoe Me.

Zoyas - my 2 free bottles & my 2 clearance bottles:

And those that I only had one of each brand:

OPI DS Temptation, Nails Inc magnetic Whitehall, Sephora by OPI Blasted Opalescent Gold, Barielle Pink Sherbert,  Wet n Wild Disturbia (which had something of an accident when I was marbling with it LOL - right into the cup so that's why it's go pink all over).

Lastly (for now), here's a look at a comparison of Night Sky & Epic Winning, swatches of all the Magnetix, and swatches of the glitter crackles:

Guest NOTD: Blue Sponged Gradient

So, this is the oldest thing I have in my backlog, from a good week before Halloween - Mom has done her own sponging before, but this was her first time using 3 colors.  She also got her own sponge instead of the artist's sponges I use - one a little coarser so she got a spongier look.

The palest blue that she started with as the base is Wet n Wild Bird Bath, then she used OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui for the medium blue, and the darkest is China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic:

After having it on for a few days, she "happened" to choose this shirt subconciously & had people at church asking if she did her nails to match LOL:

One of her favorites lately & I really liked it too =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Halloween Candy Corn + Tutorial

It's almost the middle of the month & this is only my 2nd Halloween look!  I'm going to run out of time for everything rattling around in my head LOL.

Candy corn is such a traditional part of Halloween, but I did a candy corn inspired water marble last year & so I wanted to do something in a different direction.  I started with a base of Wet n Wild French White & Orly Twilight, then did the yellow & orange with L'Oreal Yellow Seahorse & Coral Starfish, and the outline with Wet n Wild Black Creme:

Overall I'm pretty happy, although I have a tendency to pick apart my freehand art.  This one, the biggest mystery is that my right hand seems to have turned out better than my left somehow!  Maybe because I am even more careful when I'm painting with my off-hand?

Tutorial:

I know I said last post I wasn't going to tease about what I had coming tomorrow but I can't help it ... I went & got the Nails Inc magnetic polish at Sephora!  & I am very excited to try it =)

NOTD: Sunny Yellow Water Marble + Tutorial

As many of you know, yellow is NOT my favorite color.  Possibly my least favorite in fact.  But that didn't mean that it would be neglected in my Addicted to Color series, and I finally found 5 yellows that worked together & still had some contrast on the nail.  Base color is China Glaze Lighthouse, marbling done with Lighthouse, China Glaze Solar Power, Sally Hansen Hue, Orly Hook Up & Wet n Wild Collecting Pollen.  I wish we had a little sun to go with my sunny nails but although the temperatures have rebounded from the hard freeze, it's been pretty cloudy lately:

My favorite nails are left ring, index & thumb, right thumb:

And here's the vid:

The plan is to edit the haul vid & pic tomorrow after work, so stay tuned for that those of you that like hauls =)  Thanks for watching.
