NOTD: Butter London Knees Up

The name isn't actually as naughty as it sounds - I guess it's slang for having a good time, like a dance or party =)  Butter London Knees Up a gorgeous red:

I really could have left it alone but I tried to Konad it ... and I say tried because it wasn't one of my more successful designs, I used Sally Hanson Tassel & Bundle Monster image plate bm11:

They're supposed to be little hearts kind of strung across your nails ... but it came out so faint I really wasn't totally happy.

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: OPI Designer ... De Better +bm221

Mom kept calling this color champagne; and while the final effect is kind of a champagne color, I kept correcting her - it's silver with fine copper glitter.  And I think one of my favorite colors of the year, and became even more of a favorite after stamping!

I started out with OPI Designer ... De Better & wore it solo for a few days, to me this is the best color from the Muppets collection:

I don't remember what polish I used for the stamping - either Konad Black Special Polish or Wet n Wild Black Creme ... whichever I found first at the time LOL.  They're pretty interchangeable as far as I'm concerned.  This lovely flower design is from Bundle Monster image plate bm221 & it took me a while to figure out which sides I wanted to match up, but I finally decided to stamp sideways, and match the top & bottom edges.  Some nails more successful than others, I particularly like the way my ring finger lined up, but even those that aren't right on look pretty good:

LOVED wearing this a lot =)  Finally getting into December manis with the stamped version.  I've still got pics to edit for my Mosaic Snowflakes, OPI Ali's Big Break, Ulta Into Astrono-Me? & my Candy Cane Water Marble, so stay tuned.  Had a great day of frosting & baking & tray making today!  & plenty of pics to come of that as well of course.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: China Glaze Icicle + bm224

About the long hiatus - well, I'm sorry.  & that's all I have to say about that.

These are from the end of November - I started out with China Glaze Icicle - I have so many very similar silvers, but it's a color I love & this is one of the nicest ones I have so far:

Then added some stamping with China Glaze QT & Bundle Monster image plate bm224:

I have lots, lots, lots & lots to catch up on.  I don't even remember half the manis I've gone through LOL, I'll be rediscovering them as I edit the pics.  But I have my first Christmas nails on, and I'd like to get caught up enough to post them soon, so I'll be trying to do a few posts a day if I can manage it this week.

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Anise Pearls for the Devil

This almost got one of my "evolution" titles, but I think that requires at least 3 versions of the mani, and this was only 2.  I'm impressed so far with this Anise brand, which as I mentioned I picked up at DSW - & if you're wondering if I went to DSW & left with no shoes, I did buy some but my shoe hauls lately have all been incorporated into my vlogs on my other blog, if your interested =)

Anise Pearls for the Devil is very dark & does come off as almost black in many lights, but a closer look shows purple & turquoise layered over the dark grey base.  I love vampy colors so no surprise I guess that I liked it on its own:

After a day or two I decided to stamp it up - I used China Glaze IDK & Bundle Monster image plate bm224.  This is an interesting, kind of snake-skin pattern, and I switched it up a bit between my two hands.  left hand the end with the smaller scales is matched to itself, right hand the end with the larger scales is matched to itself - and on my thumbs the design is stamped sideways, again opposite sides on the different hands.  Hope all that makes sense LOL but you can see the different look that it makes depending on how you double-stamp.  My favorite placement is my thumbs:

Didn't get as much catching up done as I wanted this weekend, but that's pretty par for the course I think LOL.  I'm going to try & post a few more things today & get closer to current =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: OPI Zom-Body To Love

I originally saw OPI's Halloween Spookette mini set at Ulta, convinced myself I didn't need it - and then changed my mind LOL.  Of course by that time I couldn't find any, so I ended up ordering it from Amazon, which was OK because it was a little cheaper than it would have been in-store, even after shipping charges.

This is the first of OPI's glow in the dark polishes I've tried - unsurprisingly it's pretty sheer, I started with a white base & then did 3 coats of Zom-Body to Love (which put a serious dent in the mini bottle LOL) to get this color green - stamping is done with Black special polish & Bundle Monster image plate bm224:

Although it's a pumpkin, from certain angles I keep swearing it's a skull head =)  Of course, if you're a photographer you know shooting in low light or the dark can be a challenge, but I managed to get a couple of pretty decent shots of it glowing for you - it doesn't stay this bright for long, but it sure is fun while it lasts:

I was going to do a video, but for whatever reason my camera refused to cooperate, it was no where near that bright in video mode so I ended up skipping it.

I've read that all of OPI's glow in the dark polish, regardless of color, glows green - the set of Icing glows that I recently picked up & will show in my next haul, actually glow the color of the polish, so I'm looking forward to showing you guys those as well =)

NOTD: Avon Mink Vision + bm202

I didn't get many pics of this because the day was rainy ... I'm not too mad because it was just kind of a filler between better manicures.  I didn't dislike it at all, I just also wasn't in love with it.  Perfect for fall though, the image can be taken as leaves if you have a little bit of imagination.  Base color is Avon Mink Vision, stamping done with China Glaze GR8 & Bundle Monster image plate bm202:

NOTD: Ruby Kisses Golden Red + bm202

A nice red - stamping was a little more subtle than I thought it would be, and actually turned out better on my right hand.  Base color is Ruby Kisses Golden Red, stamping done with  Bundle Monster image place bm202 & Misa Ghetto Fabulous:

SOOOOO not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow =(  These long weekends have spoiled me LOL, but I seriously hate hate HATE my job lately.  Only good thing is getting payments processed in 4 days instead of 5 should make the time fly because we'll be so busy.  One can only hope.  I'm already planning my retail therapy after work tomorrow - I went to Ulta to spend my reward certificate & saw several other things that I wanted so I'm going to print some more coupons from their website =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Zoya Yara + bm218

Love this color!  Love the army green, love the gold sparkly shimmer, love it with my skintone - yet for some reason I didn't love wearing it.  I couldn't quite put my finger on it ... maybe just that it's from a fall collection & I'm still in summer mode?  I don't know.  From Zoya's new fall Mirrors collection, this is Yara:

After a day, I didn't have time to change it so I added some gold french tips with China Glaze 2030 & Bundle Monster image plate bm218 - showing my right hand because it came out so much better (more even) than my left:

Thanks for reading =)
