NOTD: China Glaze Lemon Fizz + M56

Trying very hard not to be AWOL over here, but don't have much time so I'm just going to get the pics up with a minimum of rambling ... this was my NOTD Monday, it turned out how I pictured, but for some reason I just wasn't feeling it.  Too .... yellow LOL.  From the Up & Away collection, this is China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Konad done with Orly Snowcone & image plate m56:

Aiming for more consistency, although that may mean shorter posts until I actually get on top of things.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Barielle Two Timing

I had a hard time picking a color last night.  I didn't have enough time to do the mani I was thinking of, (that I did tonight) so this was kind of a compromise, but I like the way it turned out.  This is Barielle Two Timing:

Then I used Misa Ghetto Fabulous - my favorite gold for Konading - and a full nail design from image plate m56:

I hadn't used this design before, partly because unlike some of the other full nail designs, it doesn't have a perfect match that you can line up for double-stamping.  But I found if I flipped it to stamp the opposite direction, instead of going end to end, that worked pretty well.  When I have seams I want to hide I tend to put them towards the bottom ... here's an example, the nail that matched up best:

Also, by total coincidence since I did this mani last night, I got an email today from Barielle with this sale:

As if I needed more temptation on my no-buy LOL.

I have a new naked nails post coming soon, including a breakdown of my normal nail maintenance routine after several requests last time.  I took some pics today but have more still to do so I'm not sure if the actual post will come this week or next, but it is on the way =)

Last thing, I'm putting up a quick poll regarding my YouTube content - please take a moment to vote =)  I'm just running it for 1 day, to kind of test the waters & get a quick sample of what my readers & watchers want. I'll be discussing that once it's finished & the January book poll also, hopefully by the weekend. Thanks for reading (& voting!).

Sunday Post-A-Thon: The Nails

So, I thought I'd get some of this done Friday evening, but T came & kidnapped me for drinks, then I thought I'd post on Saturday & she came & kidnapped me again! So I'm going to make this a Sunday post-a-thon & try to get caught up on all that I've been procrastinating on. I will start - of course - with the nails.

This NOTD is from a few days ago, from my recent haul (pics of which are forthcoming), Icing Laura's Fave Konied with Misa Toxic Seduction & plate m56:

I also have a guest NOTD, my mom, who I've finally convinced to wear blue polish! Yay! This is Nina Ultra Pro In A Tiff:

So, now I've got the nails out of the way, on to the other stuff =) Stay tuned & thanks for reading.

Green Tips & Toes

Tips first - I'm not quite sure how old this polish is, as it was a dollar store find. It went on reeeaaally badly, but I have to blame it more on the brush than the polish, I probably should heave cleaned off a different brush to use but it seemed like so much hassle... This is 4 coats later, Maybelline Celadon Shimmer konied with Green Special Polish & plate m56:

On to the toes - I am loving this color but the sucky part is it's been too cold here lately to wear sandals! Not only cold but rainy & generally dreary ... although we do need the moisture & blada blada blah. This is Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine in Glow:

I did both of these actually on Sunday, but I've been too busy since then to post. I am still waaaaay behind with so many things half-written up in drafts, but I know things will settle down soon.

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Vampy French

I got it in my head I wanted something really dark & cool that I could Konad something complimentary on. I had a lineup of 4-5 polishes from my unworn pile (well, more of a mountain at the moment LOL) & the choice I finally made was Color Club Catwalk Queen konied with China Glaze Joy. Joy is almost exactly the color of the shimmer, which you can see a little better if you click to see larger.

I LOVE this mani. I had a couple of application problems, but they were all the fault of clumsiness - the Color Club went on just about flawlessly. And they're not obvious on the finished product so I'm not going to whine about it & point them out as I usually do LOL ... it's been a hell of a day & I really need to not dwell on the negative. I am in a fact hurrying to finish this post so I can devote my full attention to So You Think You Can Dance. So here are the pics:

I did this mani last night, and I am just now getting home so I worked through all of the sunshine today =( Which brings up a question for you, my readers: Do you like, love, hate or feel indifferent to the sun pics being posted up a day or 2 later? Should I continue or not bother? Leave a comment & let me know - and as always, thanks for reading.
