NOTD: Sally Hansen Sea And Be Seen w/ OPI Ink Stripes

This was kind of disappointing for me. I was tired, the lines didn't come out very straight or even, and I felt like the inverted triangle made my nails look shorter.  But the idea is worth revisiting, sometime when I've forgotten how much it frustrated me LOL.

I started out with a base of Sally Hansen Sea And Be Seen.  Gorgeous, lovely color but this was I think 3 coats & the only reason I didn't add a 4th was the fact that I knew I'd be doing the stripes on the tip to disguise the VNL.  I would suggest Sephora by OPI Underwater Fantasy as an alternative, because I recall it being more opaque & they're dupes ... you can see how many of Sally's spring colors are $OPI dupes HERE at Steph's Closet, it's kind of ridiculous.

After that dried, I used some blue painter's tape to mark off a triangle, and then a striper brush & OPI Ink to add stripes.  I don't hate this, but I don't love it either.  I think that meh feeling may be why I didn't get more pics ... oh, no wait - it was the rain.  Rained ALL freaking day on Tuesday.  Here are my inside shots:

This mani was inspired by this dress I saw in a magazine:

NOTD: China Glaze Lubu Heels

Not much to say, other than every time I wear dark colors I remember how much I like them.  China Glaze Lubu Heels:
This was last Friday, but I wore it all weekend so I'm not really that far behind LOL =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Milani 3D

OK, so I totally FAILED at blogging all weekend.  I had all these plans (as usual) & got caught up doing something that just took HOURS on Saturday.  I will share it here because I love you guys & if you laugh, trust me that you are laughing with me because I already laughed at myself.  I spent these hours reorganizing my nail art wheels from Bundle Monster, sorting so that all the beads were together, all the round rhinestones together etc.  This would have taken long enough if I didn't also have to sort the ones that had gotten mixed together, but I'm far too anal to allow for example red sequins in with the blue star-shapes.  By the end I had a huge crick in my neck but was very pleased with my neat & tidy results =)  Then I was going to post yesterday, but I ended up reading ... ALL DAY.  LOL I stayed up really late since I didn't have to work today & actually did finish the book.  There was just so much kept happening that I couldn't put it down.  So I'm sorry for being AWOL for a bit but I quite enjoyed playing hooky.

On to the nails.  I only got a few pics of this, and I apologize for the one that makes my paper cut look so ginormous, but it was the one that showed the holo best.  So far, this is the least holographic of all the colors in the collection, Milani 3D, stamping done with Color Club Black & Konad image plate m67:

NOTD: Ulta Always A Bridesmaid + Holiday In Turqs & Caicos + BM10

Just a quick post, that I forgot to do last night.  I started with a base color of Ulta Always A Bridesmaid, then sponged the tips with Ulta Holiday In Turqs & Caicos, then did the stamping with White Special Polish & used one of my Bundle Monster plates for the first time, BM10.  I did include one pic pre-stamping:

For some reason this mani was just OK for me.  Not sure what I didn't like about it since it turned out pretty much exactly as I intended, but I was happy to change it.  Thanks for reading =)

NOTD: Ulta Material Girl

Gorgeous!  Didn't get as much sun as I might have hoped to enjoy this with, but still managed to get some good shots in.  I especially like the one with the flowers where the flash went off for some reason & touched off all the holo glitter.  From Ulta (the salon formula), this is Material Girl:
