NOTD: China Glaze Visit Me In Prism (+ OPI My Big Break)

I have to start off with saying WOW because I hit 300+ followers today!  Thanks to each & every one of you =)  It tickles me that my little corner of the world has attracted actual readers/viewers.  Today is also a pretty awesome day on the YouTube side - I hit over 10,000 views!  That is seriously flabbergasting me ... I'm STILL not super-confident on camera doing tutorials, but I'm glad to help out everyone who watches my videos =)

On to the nail pics ... still playing catchup.  This started out Monday's NOTD, then got a little added & stuck around for Tuesday.  I started out with China Glaze Visit Me In Prism, from the Kaleidoscope collection, which is a really pretty holo that's more on the chunky side.

In color it reminds me of OPI DS Diamond, very soft silvery mauve holo, although not in texture (top is natural lamp, bottom is with camera flash):

I didn't have time for a whole new mani on Monday night, so I decided to just add something to it.  I was inspired when I saw this design on Trincess & also on Doo, and I decided to do my version.  To go with the mauve, I chose OPI My Big Break for my accent color:

What do you think?  I liked it, although I wish I'd had a little bit of a lighter touch, as it gets a little wide towards the tips.  But I'd definitely try this style again.

NOTD: Zoya Savita

After Veruschka, I expected to be more impressed with Zoya Savita, since it's from the same collection, but while it was a really nice purple, it didn't quite have the depth of Veruschka.  Here it is matte:

And here with some Konad done with China Glaze QT & image plate m36 - the holo of QT didn't end up showing very much, plus I messed up the left ring finger, so I was on the disappointed side with my Konad also:

 

I'm still really far behind.  This was my NOTD from last Friday & over the weekend.  I've got lots still to edit ... China Glaze Visit Me In Prism 2 ways, Zoya Ibiza, and a St. Patrick's Day water marble with tutorial. & also 2 small hauls...  So please bear with me while I get my crap in order!

Well, I wanted to get some kind of nail-related content up here before bed LOL.  Needless to say I didn't finish my to-do list ... and this wasn't even on there!  Here is Mom sporting Zoya Suvi:

Accountability: March Check Up

So, in an effort to be more accountable to myself, I'm looking back at the start of each month to see how I'm doing with sticking to the resolutions that I made at the beginning of the year.  Hopefully this will keep me on task ... or get me back on if I get off track LOL.  So here we go:

• Losing Weight - I felt like I had a very lame February.  I didn't lose, I didn't gain, I didn't anything.  Well, of course that includes not doing any yoga for so many reasons ... excuses.  Well, it's a new month, I'm trying to get back on track.
• Budget - Even with a budget sheet right in front of me, I don't know how I manage to spend so much money LOL!  Why is crap so expensive?  And now I've got a repair to my car that's going to be over a thousand dollars, eating up what I had managed to save.  I'm hoping my refund will cover the rest ... of course that means actually sitting down & getting my taxes DONE, ugh =(
• Schedule - I don't know why February was so hectic.  The only "holiday" if you want to call it that was my mom's birthday, and while we did make a few out of the norm excursions, I  honestly don't know why else I've been so busy.
• Reading - FAIL.  I am about to finish my 10th book ... that's like half the pace I wanted to set.  Even last year, my slow year, I was at 13 at this time.  Not to mention that Tee has picked up the Kushiel series again (finally) so I want to finish reading it with her.  That adds 3 more 700 page door-stoppers to my already overflowing list LOL.  A good problem to have I suppose, too many good things to read.
• Socializing - I think I actually get a gold star here =)  Considering I just spent the whole weekend away from home ... not like I went that far LOL, just to Tee's, and spent Saturday & Sunday hanging out with her & Max.  Let me introduce Max:

He's the biggest sweetie =)  I did Tee's nails too, but like a total idiot I forgot to take any pics.  Probably had to do with the liquor LOL, also the abundance of good food & movies & Scrabble games.

• Comments - Dear Lord, I can't even say anything in my own defense, other than FAIL.  FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL ... maybe this month I'll manage to get caught up.
• Throughout Me -Not quite a fail, but only 2 posts in February.  Every time I post I think I'll do better but then all of a sudden it's like, oops...

Today’s To-Do List

I feel like I’ve been AWOL around here for a while (I do have an excuse … to come later), so just to let you guys know this is my tentative schedule …

• Work until 3 (unfortunately)
• Get gas (the light came on on my way in this morning LOL … procrastination for the win!
• Yoga (even with cramps … it will make me feel better … I hope)
• Finish my book (that was due last Thursday…)
• Find some time to write (I think I only wrote maybe 5 times in Feb … about equal to the amount of yoga I did in Feb … kind of a sucky month)

Blog related:

• March resolutions accountability
• Get some books posted
• Edit nail pics for the past few days & also from the weekend with Tee & post (I think at least 3 NOTDs but I don’t quite remember ATM, plus some real life stuff)
• Do 1 of the 2 St. Patrick’s Day manis in my head … one will be a marble, one will be shamrocks, I plan tutorials for both.
• Comments … OMG. I swear, once I’m caught up it will be all better. If I can ever just sit down uninterrupted & finish the job. I was behind all February … I do apologize to you all, I love hearing from you guys =)
• Probably more stuff… I have a lot in draft. But this list is long enough LOL.

Will I get this all done? Possible = yes. Probable = no. We’ll see. Stay tuned. Thanks for reading =)
