Every color that I've tried from China Glaze's Tronica collection has been good for water marbling. I have at least one more design with them coming up that I've already picked out the colors for. For this one, I used a base color of Wet 'n' Wild French White, and then marbled with China Glaze Hyper Haute, Hologram, Techno Teal & Virtual Violet:
My favorite nails - left pinky, ring, thumb, right thumb:
After 2 days I added Matte Magic - with the sparkle toned down I feel like the pattern comes through a little clearer:
And finally here is the tutorial:

ReplyDeleteWow that is absolutely amazing! I wonder what it'll look like if the holo polish covered the whole nail. It'll be super sparkly!
ReplyDeletevery pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried water marbling, but I definitely have to. I love your manicure!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous combo and marbled!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tutorial...
Well, I'm in love now!!

And with the matte finish it's so beautiful!!
This is fab!
ReplyDeleteOh, the colors look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning manicure. Your nails look like Easter candy to me.
ReplyDeleteINCREDIBLE as always. It looks really cool matte, too. I've been meaning to try one of your tutorials but I know I'll be disappointed when it turns out all ugly, haha.
ReplyDeleteI've seen other nails done with the water marbling technique but none of them had that "wow" factor for me. Yours on the other hand are amazingly gorgeous and makes me want to try! Absolutely beautiful and I love the color combo too!
ReplyDeleteWow I can't stop admiring this combo!
ReplyDeleteThis marble is wonderful ! I'm very impressed :)
ReplyDeleteIt's also pretty with Matte Magic :)
pretty colours! this actually reminds me of katy perry's make up for ET~
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I actually have those colors - maybe I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeletei love your nail art designs especially the water marble ones..... ive seen almost all your tutorials on youtube for those and it inspired me soo much!! but the thing is we're not allowed to wear polish to school and the only way we can is by wearing colours the teachers dont notice much... we also have to keep our nails short.... can you suggest some sort of marbling that will suit these conditions and pleeeeeease make a tutorial of it!?!!!!! pleeease?
ReplyDeleteYou are the marble nail art queen! lol!
ReplyDeleteI loooooooove your tutorials!
xoxo from Brazil!
SHRUTHI - Hmm, that would be pretty challenging - I feel like the best marbles have a lot of contrast with the colors, so that the design really shows up ... but I'll keep it in mind & add to my request list =)
ReplyDeleteAwesome colors & marbling! Problem, I started taking the biotin that u spoke about & had great results. Then I started wearing color polish which worked out great, but since I didn't want my nails to turn yellow I decided to let them breathe & just wear my regular clear base coat polish. My problem is that now my nails r peeling & I don't know why. I take a vitmin, I eat well, & drink plenty of water...y are they peeling & what can I do to strengthen them again? Was the color polish acting as a barrier bt my nails & the water/elements?
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your nails and the tutorial they are always great not very long but very well said and easy to understand! I like the design matte and shiny, the colors work so well together, great job!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful

ReplyDeletecan i do this with every nailpolish?
ReplyDeletei noe i think that your marbles with the techno colours are the best.. and i cant wait until vacation to try them out!!! right about now i am trying to get a combination for my marble with a clear and a silver or shimmery light colour....
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo even more when it's matte! I love your nail tutorials, your videos are so easy to follow
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool! I'd been wondering for a while if the Tronicas worked well for marbling, and now I know!

ReplyDeletei sall almost all your tutorials and well i tried to do them but when i put the nail polish in the wter it just sunk or it did not spread when i put the second color inthe center......does it have to be a certein type of nailpolish???
ReplyDeletethis is great!
ReplyDeleteHi! Love your nails and the designs! Especially the water marble ones. I tried searching on e-bay and amazon for any polish in the china glaze collection but I came up with 0 results. I'm from UK and China Glaze is a little hard to come upon. Have you tried any water marbleling with any products from Miss Sporty, Loreal, Maybeline, Revlon, Rimmel, Max Factor or Bourjois? I bought a couple from each but couldn't find any that would spread on water. Thanks for the videos you posted! Take care
ReplyDeletehi there! i recently discovered the technique and am having trouble getting the polish to spread...i can get the first drop and sometimes the second and third but after that it doesnt spread :-( please help
ReplyDeleteregarding above message i have even tried bottled water and that doesnt work either
ReplyDeleteLove love love it!! Thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with this one too, and the matte magic did seem to make the pattern pop a little more, but I'm partial to the gloss hehe the more shine and sparkle the better in my book, but maybe that's just me lol
