Guest NOTD: China Glaze Sea Spray + White Cap

Mom came looking for polish & these colors were still on my desk from the Stormy Blue water marble - just one coat of China Glaze Sea Spray & one coat of White Cap to give it some awesome shimmer:

I've been really tired lately - hard to get motivated - stressed from work ... overall feeling like a slug LOL.  But I have 3 days off next week, I plan to just rest up & finish the catchup that I started over my birthday vacation.  I'm down to close to only a thousand unread emails.  No I'm not kidding.  It was over 10k for a while, just with notifications & stuff I thought I'd have time to actually look at - I've just been doing mass cleanup, deleting old stuff that's no longer relevant & trying to keep something of a handle on newly incoming stuff.  I'd still like to go back & catch up with blog comments, and once I do that or declare it an official lost cause, answer fan emails as well.  Then maybe I'd have time to sit back & read some other people's blogs & see what I should be looking forward to for fall =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Stormy Blue Water Marble + Tutorial

I'm trying - key word here being TRY, but doing well so far - to get back in the habit & schedule of posting right after I get home from work, as opposed to right before I go to bed.  The evening really goes smoother if I'm not trying to finish 5 different things at like 10pm LOL.

I miss doing water marbles ... For a while I was doing about 1 a week & I've really slipped off that pace - despite having a TON of ideas, I just haven't had time to play with polish & test colors to find out what works.  One combination I'd be sure would work totally didn't, and I think over the weekend or sometime soon I'm going to use them as an example & shoot a vid of them, so everyone can see even I have big fat fails =)

For this marble I used 2 coats of China Glaze White Cap as my base, then marbled with White Cap, First Mate & Sea Spray, all 3 from the Anchor's Away collection.  The overall look reminds me kind of water, ocean, stormy - they almost ended up as a swirl but I didn't want to have to dip each finger individually.  This entire manicure only took 4 cups:

My favorite nails were my left middle & ring, my right ring, and both thumbs:

NOTD: Ulta Blue Streak + bm222

I really like this blue - I wish I'd taken a picture before I started stamping because I liked it less after the butterflies.  I was going for random & - & I know this sounds ridiculous - they're not random enough LOL.  I seem to do better when I have a plan =)  I actually really like the way the partial stamps on my index finger look, I wish I'd done them all like that but it was only the one finger!  Oh well, next time I use this image I hope I'll remember.  This is Ulta Blue Streak, stamped with White special polish & Bundle Monster image plate bm222 :
