NOTD: OPI Gargantuan Green Grape Matte + m64

I started out with a base color of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape Matte:

Then I did some stamping with Color Club Wild at Heart & Konad image plate m64.  I remember when I had this on being disapointed disappointed that the purple didn't actually look more purple - in a lot of lights it just turned out brown =(  & I had tested beforehand & it looked like it would be OK, I don't know if the top coat is to blame for it blending to mud or what ...

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Zoya Edyta + m64

One of the polishes I picked up with the 3-free Zoya promo was Edyta, which I wore plain for a day:

Before I added some stamping with Konad image plate m64 & China Glaze Passion:

I enjoyed this - especially after all the pale pink!  Thanks for reading.

Guest NOTD: China Glaze Groovy Green + M64

Here is what Mom currently has on her nails, the base color is a gift from a friend of hers, China Glaze Groovy Green, stamping is done with China Glaze Unplugged (which she's wearing on her toes) & Konad image plate m64:

Pretty darn cute!  I don't often get the opportunity to Konad her nails, so she's really having fun with it.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Claire's Bored/Excited + M64

Here's what I wore yesterday, I'm actually just getting ready to take it off. Claire's Mood Polish in Bored/Excited:

Kind of a salmon color, looked more pink in some lights & more orange in others. I added some stamping done with Orly Lemonade & Konad image plate m64.  While I was outside, it was hot enough that my nails were only one color!  I had to take more shots in the car's air conditioning to capture the funky french look in natural light.  And they matched the elevator button perfectly LOL:

And here's a quick vid of the color-change:

On another note, don't like fall over from shock or anything but I have succeeded in catching up with all my blog comments! I am going to really try & NEVER get that behind again, because it sucked & I felt totally guilty about it.

That's all for now ... I have a couple of other things to post but they involve a lot of photo editing, and I think I will probably upload the polar bear video that I shot at the zoo too, so stay tuned for that =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Stained Glass (Sinful Mint Apple + Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure + China Glaze Matte Magic)

Just a short post words-wise, but lots of pics =)  I wore Sinful Mint Apple plain for one day:

And then I snazzed it up with Hidden Treasure:

& then added black Konad with image plate m64 & Matte Magic.  LOVE!  It totally reminds me of stained glass  I did a flash shot of the combo glossy also:

Fairly pleased with my double-stamping on this, although obviously the left ring turned out best.  The pattern is pretty forgiving.

AND, since all of you that voted in my poll let me know that you like seeing impressive polish in motion, here's the video =)

This is where I was sitting when I took the video earlier today - it's my grandparent's back yard, there's a bench at the top of Grandma's garden.  It was the nicest, most peaceful moment I'd had in a while.

Here's some of what's blooming in the garden right now:

NOTD: Green Sponged Swoop (+ Konad & Matte-ified)

Well, it started out supposed to be a swoop at least ... I've been seeing swoop designs on other blogs, in my head it combined with the urge to do some sponging with 3 different colors, but on the nail I didn't have much of a curvy swoop to my lines, they're more plain diagonals.  I still like the way it turned out though; I used 3 colors from Wet 'n' Wild, Jade (lighter green), Morbid (darker green), & Shield (metallic tip):

(Although I used more colors, this is the same basic technique as I used in THIS Purple Sponged Gradient tutorial.)

Then I decided to change it up for the next day, so I stamped it with White Konad Special Polish & image plate m64:

Then I added a coat of Matte Magic & this is how it turned out:

I wasn't sure what I thought at first, but it grew on me, it was really different from anything I normally wear.  You know, with St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I think this could be a fun mani, either version, for that holiday.  Hmmm, I'll have to do some more green designs.  I have to admit it appeals to me more than pink for Valentines Day did LOL.

Thanks for reading =)
