Awesome Shoe Clearance

I stop at DSW all the time, because their clearance is always changing - it happens to be awesome  right now.  Two of these I got at 50% off I think, & 2 at 80% off.

 

These have almost like a snakeskin texture - but they're really soft, they're actually made of cloth, not leather or fake leather:

And one of these days the snow will melt & I'll be able to wear these bad boys:

 

I'm very proud because although I bought 4 pair, I also got rid of 4 old pair that really needed to go.  But I get so attached to my shoes LOL!  I want to keep old favorites even when they are beat up & I don't wear them anymore.  But I don't want to be a hoarder, so I sucked it up & tossed them!

Christmas Shoes!

No, not the song ... God, that has to be one of the weirdest, saddest, most depressing songs ever!  Or would be if it didn't make me LMAO every time I heard it.  Anyway, I'm talking about a couple of Christmas presents from me to me.  First, I had a blue pair of Sketchers that were just in such sad shape, actually had a hole in the side LOL, so I replaced them with this black & white pair:

 

 

I love me some Sketchers =)  I like how these have just a little bit of bling silver on them too.  Then, I just happened to see these Elle mules on sale, I'd seen them before & even tried them on, but didn't want to pay full price - but at better than 50% off, I could no longer resist:

 

Yeah, those heels are 5 1/2 inches =)  But they're so comfy!  The platform at the front is like an inch and a half so it's really only like 4 inches.  With being dumped on snow AGAIN (7 additional inches since last night) I won't be wearing these actually outside for a while, but I can wear my Uggs & bring them with to work =)

Sexy Boots

I almost didn't get these because I just don't get this dressed up very often anymore (a previous job I probably wore a skirt to work 3 out of 5 days a week).  But they were on clearance & they were (relatively) comfortable & when I do get dressed up I am not happy with my current tall black boots.  Tell me you could resist these babies:

 

 

DSW has a TON of clearance right now - the lady at checkout said they're just getting so much in on the trucks, if they have something with only a few sizes left it ends up in clearance instead of the regular-priced area.  So if you want some shoes head to your local store for lots of deals =)  I even got double member points, which I'm assuming probably goes through this weekend although I'm not positive.

TOTD: Maybelline Plushed Plum & New Shoes

I told myself when the snow started flying (back in October BTW, which just wasn't fair) that I would endeavor to take better care of my feet this winter, so I wasn't having to scramble to make them presentable once summer came 'round again.  Well, I haven't exactly fallen off the wagon, but I'm hanging on tooth & nail if you'll forgive the pun.

Last week, I took off my polish one day, trimmed them the next, and then was procrastinating on actually painting them ... even though I have totally cute pink toe-less pedi-socks to keep my feet warm when I do so.  Well, then I saw Nihirda's interview with Jake AKA toepaintguy (on Flickr) and seeing his perfect pedicure inspired me to get my butt in gear. 

That was over a week ago LOL, but I'm finally getting around to posting the pics, so here we go.  Please forgive my toenails, they're shorter than I really like right now but I have a tendency to hack them as low as possible in winter so I don't have to do it as often.  I may have to back off from that practice since I'm no longer the only one looking at them during these cold months =)  This is Maybelline Plushed Plum:

Do you keep up a pedi in the winter?  Or is it too much hassle for something you usually only get to see in the shower?  =)  I did have cause to be thankful they were presentable however, when I went shoe shopping.   I actually got a compliment on them!  And these 2 pair of shoes that I picked up really show my personality from one end to the other ... here we have a perfectly sensible pair of Sketchers, on clearance $70 marked down to $28:

I love Sketchers, but I hate paying full price so this was a great find for me.  I got them at Kohls.  Then I went down a few stores & hit DSW & found these awesome and not so sensible platform wedge sandals for when summer eventually arrives:

They are so cute on my feet, and actually pretty comfortable for 5" heels.  I didn't get them at first, but then I went back & I'm glad I did - I had mistaken the gold label for an orange label originally - orange is only 20%, but gold is 80% - so they were only $12!  Mom always tells me "You're already tall" but I like being tall. I also got a great compliment on my current manicure & gave the nice sales associate my blog address so  she could check out my marbling tutorials - I didn't catch her name but hi!  & I hope you have fun looking around =)

Tomorrow I'm going to edit pics & get caught up posting & then try to get caught up with comments ... I got about halfway through comments last weekend before I got distracted.  It's the only resolution that I'm not living up to, so I really feel bad but I think if I can just get caught up with my backlog that maybe I can stay on top of it.  But I don't want to answer current comments when I have week-old ones still sitting around .... we'll see if I can live up to my intentions this time LOL.  Until then, thanks for reading.

My New Bling Shoes

These are actually kind of out of character for me, but when I saw them at Target, they drew my eyes just as badly as any polish.  They are COVERED in sequins, and they change quite a bit depending on the lighting & atmosphere:

Hauls - Polish & Shoes!

Kind of a lot of shopping lately. I've been to Sally's:

& although I hadn't had much luck lately prior to this trip, my Dollar Tree luck is looking up:

I kind of have a thing for shoes. The only reason they haven't made it onto the blog yet is because I haven't gotten any new ones since I started it. It's hard to keep track (I don't keep a spreadsheet like I do for my polish LOL), but I probably have around 30-40 pairs of shoes. My shoe rack takes up most of one wall, and I have more boots & stuff in boxes under my bed. And although I usually tell myself "If I get these new black sandals, I should get rid of some old black sandals" that doesn't usually end up happening.

And then another Big Lots:

Yes, that says color changing on the packaging. And yes, as soon as I exited the store, I took them out of the bag & they did indeed turn bright pink & blue. I'll have to get a pic tomorrow when the sun is (hopefully) out again, along with pics of my fresh mani =) No, I couldn't stand my french manicure for more than a day, but I don't have time to edit up all the gorgeous pics of my new choice, so it will have to wait for tomorrow to be posted up.
