Macy's Spring 2012 Flower Show

I thought that since I'm going to the conservatory today, I'd start off with some pics from a bit over a week ago when we went to the Macy's Flower Show =)  Which is, I must add, back in the auditorium where it belongs.  The theme was Brasil Gardens of Paradise, and while it wasn't the most impressive show I've ever seen them put on, I enjoyed it a lot.  Here are some of my favorite pics:

The toucan was made completely out of flowers! 

Yes - it's an adorable tiny pineapple!

The kitty is mechanized so it moves a bit & looks like it's breathing or purring =)  We've seen him appear in several shows! 

So, as I said, off work today & off to the Como Park Conservatory to see their spring show.  I hope to have time to edit some nail pics & post more once I get home - and of course will have some more gorgeous flowers to share with you guys too =)

NOTD: Zoya Dannii

I meant to get this up last night, but at some point I just got too tired & didn't finish editing the pictures ... but oh well - that's what weekends are for, right?  Staying up late & sleeping in lots =)

Zoya Dannii is from this spring's Intimate collection.  In the bottle the shimmer in this purple polish looks kind of silver, but on the nail the shimmer transforms to gold:

And here's what a failed patch looks like - looks worse than it was, but thank goodness I always have nail glue with me:

I love purple <3  I've mentioned it before, but for new readers purple is the only color that has 2 drawers in my Helmers LOL, although blue & green are both trying to catch up.

April in Minne"snow"ta

This morning:

Do I really need to say anything?  Well, probably not but I'm going to; I mean, come on!  All the rest of the snow had melted, lakes have iced out, we were nearly up to 70 several days ... and then this crap.  Good news is it's already gone though =)

Macy's Spring 2011 Flower Show

I wasn't sure what to expect after the way they half-assed the Christmas show, but the spring show was beautiful =)  Just me & mom went this year, and the theme was towers:

 

 

The snow is almost gone here, so it won't be long before there are lots of beautiful  flowers in our own yard =)  Thanks for reading.
