Happy Easter! NOTD: Blue Zig-Zag Funky French

I hope everyone had a great Easter!  I did this before I left but did not have time right then for the editing =)  So I'm putting it up now.  Last year when I did this design in purple & pink, I got a lot of requests for a tutorial, so I did one this year in blue - base color is Milani Cloud 9 (my blue one, since I also have a lavender Cloud 9 from Milani...), and the tips are done with Milani Cyberspace:

Here's the tutorial:

Bonus pic!  Here's just one of the delicious things we ate today, my contribution:

Pink are lemon cake with lemon coating, blue are lemon cake with lime coating - yummy both!  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Tronica Water Marble #2 (Easter Pastels) + Matte Magic & Tutorial

First a side note - just finished watching American Idol - anyone have a guess on what Jennifer Lopez had on her nails?  I was editing pics & stuff so I only caught a couple of good looks but it was sparkly purple and seemed like it matched her dress almost exactly, very pretty glitter.  There should be a website all about what people on TV have on their nails LOL I swear I would check it all the time because I often find myself wondering.

On to the nails =)  This is the second water marble that I've done with colors from the China Glaze Tronica collection, and as much as I loved the first one, I love this one more!  Base was Wet 'n' Wild French White again, marbling done with Electra Magenta, High Def, & Laser Lime:

I intended the design to be straight on for all of them, but especially dipping 2 nails at a time I didn't quite manage it.  Favorite nails are left middle, index & thumb - and one of the most crooked LOL, right ring:

I'd had it on for 2 days already, so for tomorrow the 3rd day I added Matte Magic when I came home from work:

Here is the tutorial:

More Easter tutorials coming =)  Thanks for reading.

Easter NOTD: Zigzag Funky French w/ Dots

I think this has to be the most adorable mani I've ever done.  And for once, it came out on my nail exactly as I pictured it in my head.  I think I could even rock this with some less-pastel colors & be quite pleased.

I started out alternating nails between China Glaze Light as Air & Something Sweet, both from the Up & Away collection.  Excuse my lack of cleanup in most of these pics LOL:

Then I used pinking shears on some blue painters tape, and did french tips with matching holo colors, using Milani Hi-Res & Digital.  After I took off the tape, I added dots with the creme base color & this is the final super-cute result:

I added a matte topcoat again for the 2nd day.  Although they do have kind of more an eggshell finish with the Matte Magic, I think I really prefer this mani glossy.  You can make your own call:

I had a great Easter & hope you all did as well =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Easter Swirl (Creme) Water Marble + Tutorial

I really like the way that this turned out.  Not my actual Easter mani, I wore this NOTD for Wednesday & Thursday.  The colors I used are from Orly's spring Sweet collection, Lemonade & Gumdrop.  The left middle & index were my favorites so I included a few close up shots of those fingers:

For the second day, I wore it matte:

Here is the tutorial =)

I hope everyone has a great Easter!  Now that I'm done posting I have to get my nails done for the actual day, but I'm honestly still not quite sure what I'm going to do LOL!  Something pastel I think, maybe some of the Up & Away colors ... maybe a little bit of design, a little bit of glitter?  We'll see =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Easter Swirl (Holo) Water Marble + Tutorial

That is a freaking mouthful LOL =)  But that's what it is, and I had to throw the (holo) in there because I will have one coming soon in cremes.

For this water marble, I thought pink, blue & purple would work well for Easter, and I picked China Glaze BFF, 2NITE & LOL.  I had kind of a lot of trouble with bubbles on this mani, not sure if it was the polish or the technique ... but overall this turned out pretty much just how I wanted:

My favorite nails from this marble are the right pinky & ring fingers, and the left ring.  The left middle might have been best if I'd managed to center it buuuut ... well, no such thing as a 100%  flawless water marble, at least I haven't managed it yet LOL.

Here's the tutorial:

Thanks for reading & watching =)
