NOTD: Friday I'm in Love Water Marble + Tutorial

This was a fun YouTube collab that I think I posted about at the time & encouraged bloggers to join in as well =)

I started out by prepping my nails with Orly Au Champagne which is a surprisingly opaque shimmery white.  Marbling is done with Zoya Ali & Wet n Wild Disturbia:

Here's a closer look at a few of my favorite nails - top row is from my left hand & bottom row from my right:

Here's the tutorial:

And if you'd like to see some more of the other entries, please check out my Friday I'm in Love Playlist HERE - there were a ton of really great contributions =)

Thanks for reading.

  1. That's great! And I'm glad Ali is looking pink. I haven't used her for a full mani yet, but every time I try to take her picture she comes off too red or orange.... lol

  5. Tried this with my daughter tonight and it didn't work. Nail polish didn't spread out into the water. Wondering what we did wrong. Does the water have to be a certain temp and is it just water you are using? Do you put anything else in the water? Do you have to use a certain brand of nail polish?
    Thanks,
    Brooke

    1. Dear Brooke,
Yes, you need a certain nail varnish mark. Water must be tepid, not too hot, not too cold.
The good varnish marks I use are O.P.I., CHINA GLAZE but some others can be used also.
I advise you to test with several marks you can get in the market and test them.
When you have chosen your marks, you must not change them.

      Hopping to help you,

      Regards

      Marie

  7. Hello! I found your site from Japan!
It is so beautiful !! However, I also tried and didn't work.
    I have the same question!,
    Are you using tap water?
Are you using normal nail polish that I can find at any drug stores?
    Please advise me!!! Thank you!!
