I wanted something bright & vibrant, so I shuffled through my unworns & came up with Finger Paints Art Dealer Teal-er:
I liked it so well I didn't really want to part with it - so I used it as a base for a water marble, marbling done with ADT & Orly Liquid Vinyl:
Now, of course since I'm super, super, SUPER picky, I had to find fault ... not a whole lot, but I was a little irked with the way the colors were sharply defined in part of the design & bled into each other somewhat in other parts. I still liked the design but I almost wished I'd either gotten all of one or the other. I still had my favorite nails though - left thumb & middle, right middle:
Here's the tutorial:

I just wanted to tell you that I just found your youtube channel and blog on Sunday, and I think I am nearly as addicted to your blog right now as you are to polish! j/k! But I just can't stop going through the archives! Your tutorials on water marbling make it look so easy, I've already tried it twice this week, with surprisingly wonderful results! I'm taking pictures of my progress, maybe I'll try to share them sometime. And I had never heard of Konad before, but I may have to get some plates and try it, too. Your blogs on the products and techniques you use have been very helpful. Today is my birthday and I had planned on shopping and pampering myself with a salon mani, but I started early by hitting Sally's and Walgreens last night, and gave myself an awesome mani this morning! You've opened up a whole new world for me, rather than just slapping on a couple coats of plain polish every now and then. I'm just having so much fun with my nails! Thank you so much for all your great posts! I'll keep reading and watching!
ReplyDeleteWow this is absolutely spectacular - thanks so much for the tutorial. Love it!
ReplyDeleteDo you think it would be harder if you had short nails? And also are you wearing fake nails? If not thats amazing how long yours are mine can never grow that long!:)Love this look <3
ReplyDeleteThat's really gorgeous. (:
ReplyDeleteLove it.
I just wanted to concur with what Crystal said here in the comments. Your tutorials are the best, and Im totally hooked too after finding you on youtube a few weeks back. Big THANKS and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love this design!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo awesome! Love the video... Your nails look amazing.....
ReplyDeleteThe water marble is gorgeous on this color .
ReplyDeleteNot many teal polishes that I like because they tend to not work on me at all..but this one looks like it has possibilities and the $ is right on this brand to maybe try again for this shade in my collection. Thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteWow! That video was simply amazing. I can't even understand exactly how it works - how does the polish in the water adhere so quickly to your nail(s)? It seems like it would be so much more messy than it is. Maybe I should try this someday! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks really very easy to make water marble..
ReplyDeleteI even putted your link into my Twitter, so other readers can see your art :)
I literally just stumbled across your videos on You Tube and now I love your blog! I'm getting acrylics in a week and doing my own polish with some of your awesome tips! Love them all!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm Maggie and I have been addicted to your YouTube Videos and Blog for about a month now! Sad to say, I'm not allowed to have a YouTube account, but finally created my blog tonight! I have always taken the time once or twice a month to do my nails like any other 13 year old, but I have never really taken an interest in nail art until I randomly found you on my computer one day. I tried my 1st water marble today and and quite satisfied with the results! I will be posting them on my (new) blog later. Anyway, I think I have watched and read almost everything you have posted! You are definitly an inspiration to me and of course a lot of other people out there! I'm sure you will be seeing more of me around!
ReplyDeleteWauw... I really like it! I've tried it today, it really wasn't looking this nice! To be honest, it didn't looked like nail art or anything like that haha, the problemen is that my nailpollish doesn't spread (i'm sorry i'm not english or America, i'm dutch, so my english isn't that good) but it doesn't go to The outside of the cup, i've tried everything but it won't work, can you please help me, cause it lookes sooo nice! I hope so!

This marble is soooo pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou made me discover water marble nail art.
ReplyDeletewowowowow! I cannot wait to try this one out! I have false nails at the moment and am waiting for the appearance of my own natural nails so I can try this out.
I'm so tempted to try it on my toe nails. Would have to be only on my big toe though as it wouldn't show on my diddy toes.
Thanks for helping me make this awesome discovery! It looks great :D
