NOTD: China Glaze Vertical Rush + m80

This was from my dusty haul a little while ago - a really nice red, I almost regretted stamping it LOL.  This is China Glaze Vertical Rush, and in a couple of the pics you can almost see the tiny blue shimmer flecks.  Stamping done with Misa Ghetto Fabulous & Konad plate m80:

NOTD: OPI Green & Holo Bronze Marble + Tutorial

This was my entry to OPI's water marbling contest ... and I am very sad to tell you that I did not win =(  No bling OPI t-shirt for me.  I'll admit I was kind of shocked - maybe I was over-confident, but this felt like a winning manicure to me - base of OPI DS Desire, marbling done with Desire & OPI Jade is the New Black:

Here's the tutorial:

And if you are interested to see the designs that beat it, you can check it out in OPI's contest winner gallery HERE.

Maybe I'll bedazzle my own damn OPI t-shirt.  Or one that says My Simple Little Pleasures - that would be like, 8 times as much bling LOL. Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Blue & Pink OPI Water Marble + Tutorial

This was going to be my entry for OPI's marbling contest, but I ended up submitting a different one.  For this I started out with 2 coats of OPI Cool in the Pool, then marbled CitP & Virgin Island Velvet:

My favorites were my right pointer & pinky:

Here's the tutorial:

If you'd like to see my actual entry, you can check the YT widget in the sidebar, I uploaded it earlier today, but I probably won't have the blog post up until tomorrow - when the winners are also supposed to be announced!  I really hope I win one of those OPI t-shirts LOL!

NOTD: Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe (+ Matte Magic)

Goal for today is to try & get caught up posting, with bouts of starting to get caught up on comments when I get sick of editing pictures - though I doubt I'll finish climbing that mountain today.  We're getting a lovely dose of freezing rain & ice, so I'm not leaving the house all day LOL.  My parents abandoned the car on the way to church & walked the rest of the way, that's how bad it is - they could not make it up a pretty modest hill, could barely park the car.  Then they saw 2 accidents in the about 4 blocks to the church.  The problem in really getting anything accomplished will be keeping my attention where it's supposed to be & not let it wander like it normally tends to =)

This color is from Orly's Holiday collection, 'Tis the Season, and pictures do not do it justice.  Here is Meet Me Under The Mistletoe:

Then I added matte-ified it for a couple days - and pics don't do it justice in this finish either:

I wore this for quite a few days last week, 3 or maybe 4?  So I only have a few more manis to catch up with to be current, though I've also got books & I really should change my pedi - even if I'm the only one seeing it, it is in SAD shape right now LOL.

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Ocean Waves Water Marble (Version 2.0)

Wow am I behind ... I almost feel like I've been keeping this from you guys LOL, this was my NOTD a full week ago.  Those of you who subscribe to me on YT may already have seen the tutorial, which I uploaded at that time for my 1 year YT anniversary =)  I used to think video editing would be hard, but honestly it's easier than editing pics at this point!  I usually only have 1 or 2 options to pick from, pop them into Movie Maker - as opposed to a blog post where I not only have to wade through way more pics, I have to write something coherent to go along with!

I received a lot of requests for a tutorial for this design after it appeared in my January NOTD Slideshow.  It was also one of my own favorite designs, and I honestly don't know why I didn't record it at the time - but I finally got around to redoing it.  I still love it - but I actually think I may like the original more LOL.  The polish was really just not cooperating as well, the swirling didn't end up quite like I wanted to ... but I still love it.  Base was Wet 'n' Wild French White, marbling done with China Glaze L8R G8R & DV8:

Favorite nails left to right are left index, left thumb, right thumb:

And here's the tutorial:
