NOTD: OPI Gargantuan Green Grape Matte + m64

I started out with a base color of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape Matte:

Then I did some stamping with Color Club Wild at Heart & Konad image plate m64.  I remember when I had this on being disapointed disappointed that the purple didn't actually look more purple - in a lot of lights it just turned out brown =(  & I had tested beforehand & it looked like it would be OK, I don't know if the top coat is to blame for it blending to mud or what ...

  4. The stamping is gorgeous! How in the heck do you line it up so perfectly on such long nails when the designs are not that long?! Awesome!!!

  5. Looks good! What did you think of Gargantuan Green Grape Matte?? I have it but haven't tried it yet, but I've heard it's hard to get even, streak-free coats with the matte version of this color.

  12. GENIEWTDBH & ANON - mainly practice, plus not all full nail designs work as well for double stamping, so I have a few favorites I know it is easier with =)

  13. SARAH -it's not so much streaky as kind of ... lumpy. it's like it dries so fast it's almost drying as you apply it, so each stroke is a different level if that makes sense - but it wasn't too bad on the second coat I tried to just go super-fast & with minimal brush strokes =)
