Millennium Covers All Sins

In the end it all worked out, but this mani went through several phases. And they weren't all pretty. Oh, it stared out just fine, with Savvy Deja Blue as my base:

A really nice blue, dark but not so much that it looks black. The problem came when I decided to revisit plaid with the other pattern, from konad image plate m60, stamped with China Glaze Millennium. I did a total crap stamp job, just about every nail was crooked, and I didn't dare try to line it up straight for a double stamp so I added a french tip ... and ended up with this mess:

Horrible. And it was late, pretty close to bedtime. What's a girl to do? Cover up the whole mess with one more coat of Millennium, and try something fancy again another day:

But I will not let a bad Konad get me down! Tomorrow I will show you the mani that has renewed my faith in nails stamping =) Until then - thanks for reading.

  1. I think that it looks great on you all by itself! :)

  2. Amazing, no one will know what lies beneath the perfect layer of metallic silver! I bought Metallic Muse today and three other CG's. I think it's great for stamping. I find it's better than Adore or any of the Romantiques, these new khromes have really nice finishes. Michelle

  4. Even if you didn't like that konad deisgn at least we got to see two very pretty polishes. I received my bottle of millenium last week and have been playing with it quite a bit (will need a backup) I'm really impressed with the formula: it makes brush strokes disappear like magic, don't you think?

  5. I was going to buy that blue the other day. But I put it back on the shelf thinking that I didn't need another shade of blue from a brand I've never tried before.
I'll have to get it now.
Ingenious "save", by the way! :)

  6. I hate when that happens to me! You put all the work in and then comes time to stamp and it isn't what you were hoping for.

  7. GILDEDANGEL - Thanks =)

MICHELLE - They do work great with Konad, although I still like the Romantiques also.

    NIHRIDA - Thank you =)

CHOCADDICT - it really does work wonders, I didn't even add a topcoat to it in the pics above

AINOS2 - I don't see Savvy on blogs very often, but I'm very happy with the colors that I have for them, great formula & more depth that you'd necessarily expect.

JUICY NAILS - Thanks! I'll have to check it out

BROOKE - I'm just glad I had such a quick fix at hand - I didn't have time to do a whole new mani =)
