NOTD: Rainbow Double Spiral

I'd like to say first, I did like this mani ... but.  BUT.  I wish more pink had shown up, and I was in a hurry so I had a lot of bubbles on top of smearing several while they were wet.  These colors from the Island Escape collection worked really well for me though, I'm going to use them in another marble after the 4th:

My favorite nails - left middle & ring, right middle & pinky:

All the colors used:
And of course the tutorial - which I actually shot after the fact, because I didn't have time to record one when I did the manicure:

NOTD: China Glaze FYI

From the great OMG collection, China Glaze FYI is a taupe holo ... sounds a little weird - looks awesome:

Here's a look in motion:
You know who I'd like to see do a holographic collection?  Zoya.  Do you hear me Zoya??!  Because they actually seem to listen to their fans, and no other company seems to want to give us what we all desire =)

NOTD: Icing Golden Touch

Had kind of a busy weekend, so I didn't get caught up as much as planned - this is still like 3 or maybe 4 manis ago, but I actually went out on Saturday night, so I spent the day getting ready & doing some running around, rather than catching up around here.  More on my night out at the White Out including some pics of me & the ladies I went with will be upcoming on my other blog =)
Black with colored glitter is always a good look when done well - by which I mean you can actually see the glitter on the nail as well as you can see it in the bottle =)  And Icing's Golden Touch definitely did it well, actually even better than it shows in pics.  Why do glitters seem to always need a topcoat so badly?  You can see in the first pic how dull it dried before I added Seche on my index compared to the other nails that are already top coated:

NOTD: Zoya Kimmy

Another that was a bit hard to capture - not quite as difficult as Royal Velvet, but a challenge in it's own way - this is Zoya Kimmy & she is a darker red in person, leaning a bit on the orange side:

I've been doing a lot of plainer manicures it seems like lately.  And while I've enjoyed it on the one hand, on the other I'm very much missing my nail art =)  Just haven't had the time lately, barely enough time to change the color.  I have an idea for pink stripes but I may put it off in favor of a rainbow marble with the Island Escape collection ... we'll just have to see what this weekend brings ... oh, and get caught up enough to show you guys LOL.  I am still about a week off but I'm trying to make progress or at least not fall any further behind.

NOTD: Orly Royal Velvet

Orly Royal Velvet is from this spring's Precious collection - it's beautiful, and it is a duo-chrome, but it was very difficult to photograph - it's dark blue-purple, and as I know my fellow bloggers are aware, purples like to pretend they're blue on camera.  But there are a few shots that give just a hint of how awesome this is in person:

TOTD: Sally Hansen Pumping Iron

Not my best pedi pics - I'd already had this on for a few weeks & it was only when I started to consider what I wanted to change them to, did I realize I hadn't taken any pictures.  Sally Hansen Pumping Iron is from the new Hard as Nails line, and it's a nice smooth silver:

NOTD: Zoya Cheryl + Hidden Treasure

I started off intending to wear Zoya Cheryl on it's own - it's a perfectly nice brown:

But the next morning when I woke up, it just wasn't doing it for me - so I added a quick layer of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure & I was much happier:

Here's a look in motion:
Then I had it on long enough that I matte-ified it for a day with China Glaze Matte Magic - one of my favorite looks for a flaky, as amazing as they are glossy something about the matte just makes each it glow from within:
