NOTD: Zoya Yasmeen

I got this color on black (green) Friday, then kind of forgot about it for a while.  Then I saw Anna over at The Nail Nerd wearing it, and thought I'd give it a try.  Zoya Yasmeen:

A really pretty, honestly nearly perfect, purple.  It is a slightly redder cousin to Claire's Magic:

The pic doesn't show the differences as well as the naked eye.  I would have tried to remember & take a comparison swatch on the nail before I took Yasmeen off, but I covered Yasmeen up with a bunch of Konad =)  Image plate m63 & China Glaze QT:

Thanks for reading.

  1. Oh, I like it! I really really love the konad, too. This is very pretty. It also reminds me of Milani's Totally Cool, with less sparkle. I guess this is going on my Zoya wishlist!

  2. Yasmeen is sooo beautiful! I got mine on B. Friday as well, and have yet to wear it.

Haha, I just realized that I was looking at the Konad-ed version backward! ::I was wondering why you layered QT over Yasmeen and stamped in black::

  3. I have both and they're both gorgeous. But still, I think I prefer Magic.

  5. Veeeery nice purple!

And the pattern is called Houndstooth? That's so funny, we (I'm Dutch) use the French name Pied de Poule, meaning: chicken feet, lol!

  6. GILDEDANGEL - Thanks =)

NICOLE - I think you're right, the base purple is very similar but Totally Cool has a lot more pink sparklies =)

AINOS - LOL I can see how you could make the mistake, at least you caught yourself =)

NIHRIDA - I like Magic a little more partly because it is more HTF & so it makes me feel special LOL =)

LUCY - Thanks. It's the first time I used it but I think it could become a favorite & it was easier to double-stamp than I anticipated.

MICHELE - LOL that will probably stick in my head every time I see this now, thank you for a smile =)

ANGIE - I've seen a freehand tutorial for this kind of design also, but Konad is much easier =)
