NOTD: Finger Paints Art Dealer Teal-er & Teal & Black Water Marble + Tutorial

I wanted something bright & vibrant, so I shuffled through my unworns & came up with Finger Paints Art Dealer Teal-er:

I liked it so well I didn't really want to part with it - so I used it as a base for a water marble, marbling done with ADT & Orly Liquid Vinyl:

Now, of course since I'm super, super, SUPER picky, I had to find fault ... not a whole lot, but I was a little irked with the way the colors were sharply defined in part of the design & bled into each other somewhat in other parts.  I still liked the design but I almost wished I'd either gotten all of one or the other.  I still had my favorite nails though - left thumb & middle, right middle:

NOTD: Butter London Big Smoke + bm215

So, my first Butter London polish.  Gorgeous color, nice enough formula ... worth the price tag?  I'm still debating that.  I don't regret buying them, but I don't think I'd want to pay full price.

Big Smoke is the kind of dark blue that is extremely dark but still definitely blue.  Not one of those secretive vampy colors that only you know is not black.  I wore it on its own for day 1:

Then for day 2 I added some stamping with Bundle Monster image plate bm215 & China Glaze Cherish:

I wish Cherish looked a little greener (that's why I chose it over my actual silver chromes) but I liked this a lot & got a ton of complments too =)

Haul - Ulta & Butter London

A little bit of a belated birthday splurge - with the aid of a 20% my order Ulta coupon.

Ulta is redesigning their salon formula bottles - making them round & only .3 fl. oz compared to the current square .4 fl. oz.  So I grabbed up some of the last of the old larger bottles:

Top:  Sunset Bronze, Concrete, Fine Pruned, Tutu Cute.  Bottom:  Purple Haze, Bam-Blue-Zled, Blue Streak, Dance Teal Dawn.

And I made the mistake of wandering over to the Butter London display ... I thought:  if I'm ever going to splurge on these, it ought to be with a 20% off coupon.  & so I did:

Top:  Big Smoke, Marrow & Bluey.  Bottom:  Knees Up, All Hail The Queen, Wallis & No More Waity, Katie.  I've already worn Big Smoke & so I'll try to get those pics edited & posted =)

NOTD: Essie It's Genius

Not a whole lot to say about this one ... Essie It's Genius is a nice enough polish, but I  was disappointed that the gold flash that showed in the bottle was just flat out GONE on the nail:

Good things coming - my first Butter London polish, plain & stamped, and on my nails right now a water marble =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Zoya Lexi +bm209

An ... interesting mani LOL.  It had its pros & cons ... I started off with Zoya Lexi, then I used Black special polish & Bundle Monster image plate bm209Lexi is a cool pink, that at certain angles gets ... more pink =)  The Bundle Monster plate was a cute design, but the problem I had was that the heart was placed too close to the corner - I either ended up trying to get it close & losing the heart off the edge of my nail, or giving it too much space & ended up with the square edges of the design showing on my nail.  So I'm not totally happy with my stamping job - it almost ended up better on my right hand, which is weird:

I need like remedial stamping 101 LOL, it's been such a while since I used mine on a regular basis ... you can see some of my corner/edges came out crooked or not at all too.  Well, nothing like practice!  I have another on my nails, & I'd really like to get to the next Konad FAQ vid also, so I'll see if I can squeeze some time to fit that in.
