I'm World Famous!

Well, kind of LOL.  I posted this yesterday on my FB page so some of you may already have seen it, but I got distracted & didn't get a chance to post it up here.  I have several of my readers & viewers who gave me the heads up about it, so thank you all!  My Valentine's Day tutorial is shown at the end:

I have a couple people that said they may be able to translate it & see if I actually get any credit ... it is in the YouTube terms that they are allowed to share with TV & news organizations, but you know it would just be common courtesy to say who's videos they're using.  So we'll see.  But I love the audience's reaction to the final pic, that doesn't need any translation LOL =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Orange Hard Candy + OPI Black Shatter

This orange Hard Candy is from a 4-piece holiday collection, and unfortunately doesn't have a name ... it's very close to another from their normal line (that I don't remember the name of) but they're not exactly dupes.  Still, it's a very lovely orange with gold shimmer:

Then I added a coat of OPI Black Shatter - reminds me of like cooling lava:

The only downside to this polish - to the Hard Candy, not the shatter - was the removal:

Even after some attention with 100% acetone, my nails were ridiculously stained:

I can't remember ever wearing something that stained this badly.  The patched nails fared better than those without, as you see.  So if you're someone who doesn't always wear polish, like I do, I'd recommend staying away from this particular color, because you're not going to want to run around with naked nails looking like this LOL.

NOTD: OPI DS Mystery

This is back from over the weekend - kind of a disappointing color.  In the bottle, you can see that OPI DS Mystery is a dark purple, with gold glitter.  On the nail ... well ... not so much:

My absolute least favorite of the Designer Series.  Oh well.  I still like having it LOL, I can gaze upon it ... especially since it is so much nicer in the bottle.  Thanks for reading.

New Bundle Monster Plates!

In my mailbox today:

If you didn't already know, Bundle Monster has a new set out, of 25 plates for $21.99.  The full nail designs as well as the french tip patterns are quite a bit larger than on the first set - the full nail designs on those were so small I rarely ever used them.  These can be purchased on Amazon & of course Bundle Monster's website - and in addition to the already great deal, shipping is free!

One last note - you'll see the one above flipped over - these plates have a backing, not just plain metal, unlike the other set - and while still sharper than a name-brand Konad plate, they're not as dangerous as the first generation.  Still, use caution when removing the blue-tinted plastic prior to first use =)

Thanks for reading.
