NOTD: Ulta Little Black Dress

This color disappointed me ... in the bottle Ulta's Little Black Dress is shimmery & you can see tiny sparkles of teal & purple & silver.  On the nail ... well, let's just say not so much.  & it chipped on the 2nd day of wear!  I was offended.  And a little sad - hard enough dealing with these nubbins ;) without having to deal with lame polish.  Not that I actually dislike the color - but it's not what's advertised, so to speak, in the bottle.  If it had looked like an extremely dark & minimally shimmery grey in the bottle, then I would probably have been very happy with this:

NOTD: OPI Have You Seen My Limo?

So, I'm trying not to actually fall a full week behind - this is last Wednesday's mani, so I'm squeaking past by the skin of my teeth LOL.  This is OPI Have You Seen My Limo?  It's a very dark ... color.  Purple?  Burgundy?  Weird brown?  Well, that all depends on the angle & the lighting:

I liked it a lot, but I feel oddly stumped trying to describe it past beautiful =)  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: French Tip Swirl Drag Marble

I know my water marbling reputation is, well .., kind of awesome =)  But even I fail sometimes, and I failed a lot in my latest experiments.  I failed enough that it didn't make it onto my nails & I ended up doing this instead at like midnight - base color is Sinful What's Your Name, drag marbling done with China Glaze Virtual Violet & Techno Teal:

Here's the tutorial - kind of surprised it turned out coherent as tired as I was LOL:

I haven't give up permanently - I will probably continue experiments this weekend.  It's been like 2 weeks since I had a marble & this Addicted to Color will not get the best of me!  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: OPI DS Mystery

This is back from over the weekend - kind of a disappointing color.  In the bottle, you can see that OPI DS Mystery is a dark purple, with gold glitter.  On the nail ... well ... not so much:

My absolute least favorite of the Designer Series.  Oh well.  I still like having it LOL, I can gaze upon it ... especially since it is so much nicer in the bottle.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: OPI Light My Sapphire + m80

I try to do something that I'll really like after a chop - so I picked this lovely dark blue, OPI Light My Sapphire.  The stamping actually came out ridiculously crooked if you compare them to each other, but it's not obvious because of the scalloped edge LOL.  It actually turned out looking pretty good, kind of an eyelet lace look - stamping done with China Glaze Devotion & Konad image plate m80:

Guest NOTD: Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal (+ bm03)

Mom asked me to recommend a polish to match her outfit that she wore to the Ash Wednesday service - it was gold, and I thought I could match it but I couldn't - so I went dark instead & she liked my choice of Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal:

After a few days she wanted to change it up a bit with some shamrocks for St. Patrick's day - and I am SO PROUD of her.  I told her I would Konad her if she didn't wait too late, but she wanted it done right as I was finishing editing my latest tutorial, so I asked her if she wanted to do her own.  I was a little wary ... as you know there can be quite a learning curve for Konad.  But I sent her off with image plate bm03, stamper, scraper & China Glaze Passion, and after I while she came back to show me this:

Excellent placement!  Only using part of the stamp for most of her nails! And double-stamping on her thumbs!  All of her own initiative =)  A really good first konadicure.  Yay mom!  I am so proud of her LOL.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Barielle Hidden Hideaway

I don't know how I managd to wear this for like 3 days & not get a decent sun pic.  There's even been plenty of sun, I'd look outside while I was at work & think how nice & sunny it was - but by  the time I get outside, there are clouds =(  This one is gorgeous in any light though - Barielle Hidden Hideaway:

NOTD: Zoya Edyta + m64

One of the polishes I picked up with the 3-free Zoya promo was Edyta, which I wore plain for a day:

Before I added some stamping with Konad image plate m64 & China Glaze Passion:

I enjoyed this - especially after all the pale pink!  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Cover Girl Midnight Magic + Disco Dazzle

Up past my bedtime as usual LOL ... might as well make a quick post so I don't fall farther behind!  I started with Cover Girl Midnight Magic, a vampy deep blue, & I almost forgot to take pics of it plain so that's why you get my right hand:

Then I layered Cover Girl Disco Dazzle, a silver-holo hex glitter with smaller plain silver glitters, & it turned into this awesome stars/space/galaxy look:

I really liked this mani ... but I do not like what I have on my nails right now.  They turned out mostly how I intended, but ... they're so pink LOL.  White & pink marbled hearts ... good for Valentine's Day nails, not so good for my personal taste.  I think you'll see what I mean when I post them =)  Hopefully have them up tomorrow.

Until then, thanks for reading!
