TOTD: BB Couture Adios Mo Fo

Got a few pics edited so I'm going to post up a portion =)  This is my current pedicure, which I did on I think Saturday.  BB Couture Adios Mo Fo:

I wasn't quite sure I liked it on my toes but it's grown on me =)  This also happens to be my mom's current mani, but she said she didn't see the name before she put it on & now she's mildly appalled!  LOL she said if anyone asked her what it was called she would just tell them Adios XD  Thanks for reading.

TOTD: Sally Hansen Byte

Quick post, I still have lots to edit & post - I was going to use Sally Hansen Byte for my water marble (which will be up later) but it wasn't cooperating with the black & white, plus it was too sheer.  So I put it on my toes instead:

I think this may be the brightest color I've worn all summer =)  Thanks for reading.

TOTD: Color Club On The Wild Side

So, I've got 4 things to post & limited time before my eyelids close of their own accord so I'm just going to get to it, because the best is being saved for last =)

This is what's on my toes right now, Color Club on the Wild Side, and I'd call it gunmetal grey ... a few brushstroke issues, but Seche helped & I don't really notice in the normal course of the day, although of course you can see them in macro shots LOL:

TOTD: Essie Mesmerize + Sinful Pearl Harbor

Just another quick post, as I am already running late & need to do a fresh mani.  I wore Essie Mesmerize on my toes plain for a few days:

And I like it, but it started getting kind of boring to me, so I decided to sparklify it with Sinful Pearl Harbor, which is so gorgeous on & so hard to capture in pics:

On another small note, last night the patch on my big break failed & I'd already decided I wasn't patching it again, so I've got a nub on my right index at the moment.  Patch lasted over a week and a half though, so it's not as bad as it was when it first happened.  I did file down the rest of my right hand, but not quite as short as the index.  I can live with 1 uneven nail for a couple of weeks - on my non-modeling hand no less, and I haven't shot a water marble tut since the break ironically.

Thanks for reading.

TOTD: China Glaze Drive In + Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure

I wouldn't normally reach for an orange for my toes, but I did this when I was doing my Fireball Water Marble so I kind of subconsciously picked it to match.  Base color is China Glaze Drive In, from the Retro Diva collection.  I topped it with Sally Hansen Hidden treasure just because I could =)  It's not super-noticeable, but just adds a little glimmer most of the time:

Going to finish editing the marble picks & get those up, next.  Thanks for reading.

TOTD: China Glaze Let's Groove

Just one pic of this ... I don't know what happened that I forgot to take more, other than my normal spazz-ness LOL.  I've still got this on, been wearing it for almost 2 weeks, but it's really no longer in good enough shape for macro close-ups =)  This is a perfect pedi color for me - China Glaze Let's Groove:

TOTD: Claire's Rockstar & Pedi Envy

I totally failed to take any decent pics of my last pedi, which consisted of NYC Taxi Yellow Creme topped with Sinful Call You Later (a green & yellow glitter).  Part of the reason was it was all cloudy & crappy & I wanted sunlight pics & when I got no sun I totally spaced on just getting something.  Oh well.  The moral of the story is don't procrastinate, so this time I didn't.  Here is Claire's Rockstar:

With the flash of silver on the brown, it reminded me a lot of Misa Earthward, so I did a quick comparison - not as similar on the nail, the Claire's has much more silver shimmer where the Misa I'd say had more of a silver sheen, even though the base brown is very similar:

Sorry for using my pinky ... didn't want to do any extra remover on my middle as that's the one that's patched right now LOL.

Now, on to the pedi envy ... I consider that I do a better than average job on my pedicure.  I wouldn't subject you guys if I were honestly horrified =)   They're neat (mostly), and if they get chipped, they get redone.  But for an honestly flawless pedicure, Jake is the man.  Some of you may be familar with him as Toepaintguy on Flickr - & he has recently started his own blog, Pedicure Passion.  If you're interested (& open minded & polite, not an asshat, seriously) go check him out, he's already posted some good discussion & a couple of interesting interviews.

Thanks for reading =)

TOTD: Sally Hansen Pacific Blue + Shooting Star

I love this, it's super glittery & was a very cool blue even before I added the glitter.  Unfortunately, it's been on the cool side lately & so I haven't really been able to show it off in sandals LOL.  I started with a base of 2 coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, a bright cornflower blue creme polish:

Then I added 1 coat of SH Shooting Star, a blue glitter that's really complimentary.  Hard to capture on camera of course but it's very bling in person:

Want to see a little more blue?  Check out these adorable robin's eggs that Mom spotted in the pine tree while we were at Grandma's.  She held the branches back & I snapped a few pics.  I believe Mom is wearing Rimmel Denim Dreams:

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!  I've got a few more things to post but I also need to do my nails so we'll see.  Thanks for reading =)

TOTD: Icing Jens Pick

I used this green when I did my Seaweed Water Marble & really liked it, so I decided to use it on its own as a pedicure.  It's a really dense spring green jelly, and it's also wearing really well, a couple of these pics I took just today & I've had it on almost a week.  For some reason I am tough on pedicures & would normally have a chip by this point LOL.  From Icing, this is Jens Pick:

TOTD: China Glaze Stella

Got these edited so I'm going to post them - hoping I've got time to edit 2 NOTDs also, but I've got some cooking to do tonight so I'm not sure.  We'll see =)

Sometimes I have trouble picking a color for my pedi ... I don't want anything too fabulous, since it's so far away LOL, but I don't want anything boring either.  This time I chose China Glaze Stella to fit the bill & I'm really enjoying it, I've had this on since I think Sunday:

I know a lot of people like brighter colored pedis, and I'll do that on occasion, but a shimmery dark color is more up my alley.  Seems somehow more versatile with whatever happens to end up on my nails, less distracting - since I'm certainly not going to do my toes as often just to match LOL.  I honestly hate doing my toes, it's a pain in the butt, but I hate them even worse unpainted =)

TOTD: SH Zip

This is one of the colors that was on display with Opulent Cloud.  Although my toes are really still not in like, super-great shape ... I'm too lazy with them.  The only time I see them this close is in pictures LOL, and they look fine from anyone's normal eye-level vantage ... way better than so many people who were obviously not prepared for the warm streak of days & the opportunity to wear sandals!  Anyway, here is Sally Hansen Zip:

TOTD: Maybelline Violet Aluminum

This lost of a lot of the silver shimmer that shows in the bottle on the nail.  But it's still a nice pedi - Maybelline Violet Aluminum:

TOTD: Maybelline Plushed Plum & New Shoes

I told myself when the snow started flying (back in October BTW, which just wasn't fair) that I would endeavor to take better care of my feet this winter, so I wasn't having to scramble to make them presentable once summer came 'round again.  Well, I haven't exactly fallen off the wagon, but I'm hanging on tooth & nail if you'll forgive the pun.

Last week, I took off my polish one day, trimmed them the next, and then was procrastinating on actually painting them ... even though I have totally cute pink toe-less pedi-socks to keep my feet warm when I do so.  Well, then I saw Nihirda's interview with Jake AKA toepaintguy (on Flickr) and seeing his perfect pedicure inspired me to get my butt in gear.

That was over a week ago LOL, but I'm finally getting around to posting the pics, so here we go.  Please forgive my toenails, they're shorter than I really like right now but I have a tendency to hack them as low as possible in winter so I don't have to do it as often.  I may have to back off from that practice since I'm no longer the only one looking at them during these cold months =)  This is Maybelline Plushed Plum:

Do you keep up a pedi in the winter?  Or is it too much hassle for something you usually only get to see in the shower?  =)  I did have cause to be thankful they were presentable however, when I went shoe shopping.   I actually got a compliment on them!  And these 2 pair of shoes that I picked up really show my personality from one end to the other ... here we have a perfectly sensible pair of Sketchers, on clearance $70 marked down to $28:

I love Sketchers, but I hate paying full price so this was a great find for me.  I got them at Kohls.  Then I went down a few stores & hit DSW & found these awesome and not so sensible platform wedge sandals for when summer eventually arrives:

They are so cute on my feet, and actually pretty comfortable for 5" heels.  I didn't get them at first, but then I went back & I'm glad I did - I had mistaken the gold label for an orange label originally - orange is only 20%, but gold is 80% - so they were only $12!  Mom always tells me "You're already tall" but I like being tall. I also got a great compliment on my current manicure & gave the nice sales associate my blog address so  she could check out my marbling tutorials - I didn't catch her name but hi!  & I hope you have fun looking around =)

Tomorrow I'm going to edit pics & get caught up posting & then try to get caught up with comments ... I got about halfway through comments last weekend before I got distracted.  It's the only resolution that I'm not living up to, so I really feel bad but I think if I can just get caught up with my backlog that maybe I can stay on top of it.  But I don't want to answer current comments when I have week-old ones still sitting around .... we'll see if I can live up to my intentions this time LOL.  Until then, thanks for reading.
