NOTD: Orly Bubby Bombshell + Hidden Treasure

I still have this on my nails ... it's lasted nearly a week partially due to me being in love with it & partially due to me being to busy to take it off LOL.  I started out with I think 3-4 coats of Orly Bubbly Bombshell:

This glitter has both small & medium-sized bright pink glitter - you can see the different sizes in this shot which was at one coat:

Then, I don't exactly think I came up with this idea or anything, but I can't remember ever having seen it.  As though being a glitter weren't enough, I decided to add a layer of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, and it turned into this flashy, amazing, foily creation that reminded me of like wrapping paper or something:

Here's a look in motion:

And then after a few days I did some stamping with Black special polish & one of my new Bundle Monster plates, bm208, and topped with Matte Magic:

I think I decided this is like 8 or 9 layers of polish to soak off?  LOL no wonder I'm procrastinating =)  & we'll see once it comes off if it's worsened the staining from that orange Hard Candy, or if the amount of acetone I'll no doubt need helps get them back to normal.

Thanks for reading.

New Bundle Monster Plates!

In my mailbox today:

If you didn't already know, Bundle Monster has a new set out, of 25 plates for $21.99.  The full nail designs as well as the french tip patterns are quite a bit larger than on the first set - the full nail designs on those were so small I rarely ever used them.  These can be purchased on Amazon & of course Bundle Monster's website - and in addition to the already great deal, shipping is free!

One last note - you'll see the one above flipped over - these plates have a backing, not just plain metal, unlike the other set - and while still sharper than a name-brand Konad plate, they're not as dangerous as the first generation.  Still, use caution when removing the blue-tinted plastic prior to first use =)

Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Essie Sew Psyched + bm04

Is it green?  Is it grey?  It's Essie Sew Psyched =)  Stamping done with China Glaze Devotion & Bundle Monster plate bm04 - the leaves are kind of more fall than spring, but I just wanted to use them for some reason:

Caution: Extremely Yellow Nails (NOTD: Claire's Daisy + bm20)

I always kind of pat myself on the back when I come up with a clever title LOL.  But this did remind me of caution tape, although that wasn't the original inspiration.  Base color is the bright yellow Claire's Daisy, stamping done with Black special polish & Bundle Monster plate bm20:

I only used part of the image, and it came out a bit crooked ... actually a bit straighter on my right hand.  But still bright, which was the point, and fun.  Tolerable for one day LOL.  Thanks for reading =)

Guest NOTD: Mom's 2nd Konad (Sally Girl Periwinkle + bm03)

I thought this was so pretty, and it was hilarious because Mom was nitpicking it the way I normally would my own - she was frustrated with trying to exactly center the circular design, and also with the fact that some flowers had the petals pointed towards her tips, and some had the leaves pointed towards the tips.  Base color is Sally Girl Periwinkle (from a recent haul yet to be posted), stamping done with Nubar Unfaithful Red & plate bm03:

And as she's wearing this, she says to me, "So I already have an idea for my next mani ..."  LOL!

Guest NOTD: Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal (+ bm03)

Mom asked me to recommend a polish to match her outfit that she wore to the Ash Wednesday service - it was gold, and I thought I could match it but I couldn't - so I went dark instead & she liked my choice of Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal:

After a few days she wanted to change it up a bit with some shamrocks for St. Patrick's day - and I am SO PROUD of her.  I told her I would Konad her if she didn't wait too late, but she wanted it done right as I was finishing editing my latest tutorial, so I asked her if she wanted to do her own.  I was a little wary ... as you know there can be quite a learning curve for Konad.  But I sent her off with image plate bm03, stamper, scraper & China Glaze Passion, and after I while she came back to show me this:

Excellent placement!  Only using part of the stamp for most of her nails! And double-stamping on her thumbs!  All of her own initiative =)  A really good first konadicure.  Yay mom!  I am so proud of her LOL.  Thanks for reading.

NOTD: Nubar Brilliant + bm02

Much happier with this combination =)  Also from the Prisms collection, Nubar Brilliant seems just a bit more holo than Absolute was.  Stamping done with China Glaze LOL this time & Bundle Monster image plate bm02 again, although a different design.  It's a bit of a Valentine's mani I suppose, but not all cutesy-hearts:

I plan to have my Go Red for Women mani posted before I head to grandma's tomorrow - I am off of work =)  So stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading.

Should Have Skipped the Konad (NOTD: Nubar Absolute + bm02)

I never learn my lesson.  Or at least, not well enough.  I don't know, I did a test on some paper & thought this combo would work out ...  I showed my mom & she just laughed at me & said she couldn't see anything.  It was like, just obvious enough to bug me all day that I hadn't left well enough alone...  Nubar Absolute  - from the Prisms collection - with nigh-invisible stamping done with Bundle Monster image plate bm02 & Psyche Pink Special Polish:

At times I feel fated to have a fail after I do a really awesome manicure - just like at times I feel that having an awesome manicure exponentially raises my odds of breaking a nail LOL (for example I just recently broke my right pinky while wearing the Purple Fanatic marble).
